In this role, you will work on container technologies to support internal and external customers. You will contribute to projects like podman, buildah, skopeo and other container related technologies. You’ll help with writing new features, review pull requests, fix bugs, update docs, and work in multiple technical areas. This long-term internship will give you the opportunity to gain insights into how the containers are built, run and managed and help you to gain experience working in github, using golang and get introduced to the building blocks of containerized infrastructure. The expected start date is February 2027.\nWhat you will do:\nParticipate in upstream communities and on a scrum team\nDevelop new features in container technologies to support different products\nWork on designing technical solutions to abstract problems\nEnsure test plans for the code you create exist and that documentation is correct\nWork on open source projects like podman and other container related technologies\nLeverage AI and Agentic Workflows where it sees fit\nWhat you will bring:\nYou must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during the full duration of the internship and must be able to join us part-time from February 2027 till January 2028\nWorking knowledge of written and spoken English\nBasic experience with any programming language\nWorking knowledge of Linux\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and with a geographically distributed team\nInterest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills.\nThe following are considered a plus:\nExperience with Golang, Rust and/or python is a plus\nKnowledge of Jira and GitHub workflows a plus\nFamiliarity with Linux containers, Docker, or Kubernetes a plus\nFamiliarity with Networking is a plus\nFamiliarity with Continuous Integration (CI) is a plus\nDue to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate.
