The expected start date is February 2027.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign, develop, and maintain features for Eclipse Che’s cloud-based development environments\nCollaborate with a global team of engineers, product managers, and community contributors\nWrite high-quality, maintainable, well-documented and tested code\nParticipate in the Eclipse Che open-source community by contributing code, reviewing pull requests, and engaging in discussions\nInterest in improving developer tooling, specifically IDEs and related workflows\nWhat you will bring:\nYou must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during the full duration of the internship and must be able to join us part-time from February 2027 till January 2028\nWorking knowledge of written and spoken English\nSolid programming skills in Javascript, Typescript, or Java (Kotlin)\nBasic understanding containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) or cloud-native development\nFamiliarity with using AI tooling to write code, such as Copilot/Claude/Gemini\nThe following are considered a plus but are not mandatory:\nExperience programming in Kotlin or Java\nExperience with VS Code or JetBrains IDE plugin development\nExperience with Kubernetes or OpenShift\nAny experience with open source development\nDue to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate.
