In this role, you will manage services projects in the region from initiation through to delivery and closure. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams and establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria, as well as determine, monitor, and review all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk. While effectively managing a project, you will also be responsible for helping instil an organizational project management discipline and serve as an ambassador for the adoption of project management fundamentals, principles, and methodologies with Red Hat’s services.\nThis role is open to UAE residents.\nWhat you will do:\nGuide project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for Red Hat’s services projects with minimal direction\nHandle project requirements, scope, and change management issues; ensure adherence to legally binding requirements\nFacilitate the development of recommended project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects through an integration of various project management tools\nWork with the management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules; contribute to the project estimation process\nPlan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project, including subcontractor monitoring\nEstablish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria; develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes in operational plans\nParticipate in status review meetings with project team members and customers\nEnsure a timely submission of weekly timesheets and timecards\nIntegrate and use specific industry and technical delivery methodologies like project management methodologies based on\nProject Management Institute (PMI and PMP) methodologies, Red Hat’s services project management methodology, systems and software development, and product development\nAssist in training the project team on the application of appropriate procedures and processes; coach and advise the team associates on how to accomplish project goals, meet established schedules, and resolve technical or operational issues\nWhat you will bring:\nHighly motivated with solid 2-3 years of experience in a project management role managing IT-based projects \nRecord of successfully managing highly complex projects and multicultural or multidisciplinary teams\nExperience with cloud technologies, middleware, and open source is an advantage\nExperience establishing and contributing to process improvements\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills and business judgment\nAbility to work effectively across a diverse management team and a broad spectrum of internal partners on your own\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high attention to detail\nGood balance of business and technical experience\nAbility to communicate the project management value proposition\nExcellent communication skills in English \nPMI and PMP certifications or the Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) degree, or other certifications of an equivalent level are a plus\nAbout Red Hat\nRed Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterpriseopen source software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
