This role ensures that roasting parameters are met to achieve product quality standards while maintaining optimal throughput and minimizing downtime.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate and monitor industrial roasters, conveyors, and related equipment for sunflower seed processing.\nSet and adjust roasting parameters (temperature, time, airflow) according to product specifications.\nPerform routine quality checks including moisture levels, roast color, and texture.\nRecord production data and maintain accurate logs of roasting batches.\nConduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues.\nClean and sanitize equipment and work area in accordance with food safety standards.\nCollaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to resolve issues promptly.\nFollow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.\nAssist with training new operators as needed.\nQualifications\nPrior experience in food manufacturing or operating industrial equipment preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret production schedules and technical documents.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.\nWork Environment and Conditions\nWork is performed in a food-production facility with exposure to industrial roasting equipment, noise, dust, food-grade oils, and varying temperatures.\nThe position requires standing for extended periods, repetitive movement, and lifting to 50 pounds.\nRequired personal protective equipment must be worn, and food safety and sanitation procedures must be followed.\nOvertime, weekend, holiday, or varying shift work may be required based on production schedules.\nCompany Benefits:\nAt Red River Commodities, we value our employees and are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
