Fargo, ND 58102\nSchedule: 6:00am - 4:30pm (Mon-Thurs)\nPosition Summary:\nThe Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing in-plant inspections, sampling, and documentation to ensure that sunflower seed products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports food safety, production consistency, and traceability by verifying processes and communicating issues in real time.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods on the production floor\nCollect and prepare product samples for third-party laboratory testing\nMonitor and verify critical control points (CCPs) and ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP standards\nPerform visual checks for foreign material, packaging integrity, labeling accuracy, and allergen control\nDocument inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions in accordance with QA protocols\nCommunicate quality concerns to production and QA leadership promptly\nSupport traceability efforts by maintaining sample retention logs and batch records\nAssist with internal audits, mock recalls, and third-party inspections\nHelp train production staff on quality and food safety procedures\nFollow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nExperience in food manufacturing or quality control strongly preferred\nFamiliarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, SQF, etc.)\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures\nBasic computer skills for data entry and reporting\nAbility to work independently and communicate effectively across departments\nComfortable working in a production environment with exposure to allergens, noise, and temperature variation\nWorking Conditions:\nPhysical Environment: This position requires working in a warehouse and/or production environment where temperatures can fluctuate. The facility is generally kept at a moderate temperature, but exposure to warmer or cooler conditions may occur depending on specific areas of the plant.\nNoise Levels: The facility can be noisy due to the operation of machinery and equipment. Hearing protection is required in certain areas to comply with safety standards.\nPhysical Demands: The job involves occasional lifting, bending, standing, and walkin.
