This position involves designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure application functionality and quality. This position also includes mentoring team members, integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, and continuously improving testing processes. \nKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:\nDesign, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks for Guidewire applications and enterprise applications to ensure efficient and reliable testing processes.\nIntegrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality and rapid delivery of releases, projects and software updates.\nDesign, develop, implement and maintain automated test scripts.\nExecute automated test scripts, analyze test results, and report defects.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation.\nCreate and manage test data to support various testing scenarios and ensure data integrity.\nConduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not adversely affect existing automation scripts.\nValidate data flows between systems and ensure accurate data mapping and transformation.\nEstimate, plan and strategize work allocation and resource management for QA automation body of work\nRead and understand business requirement documents and determine the best way to create automated test coverage. \nGenerate detailed reports, metrics, and documentation to communicate test results and quality status to stakeholders.\nEvaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies to enhance the automation capabilities and efficiency as needed.\nDevelop and drive the adoption of best practices and standards for test automation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of automation suites.\nWork with Supervisor, Quality Assurance and Manager, Process and Business Analysis to define and implement the overall automation strategy.\nMentor and guide junior automation engineers.\nConduct code reviews for automated test scripts to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.\nProvide training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops to team members on automation tools, techniques, and Guidewire-specific testing practices.\nCollaborate with business analyst, development and QA teams to understand integration requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle. \nStay current with industry trends and advancements in test automation technologies, continuously enhancing our automation capabilities.\nEmbrace change and demonstrate commitment to simplification and continuous improvement.\n\nQUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:\n\nRequired Qualifications\nCollege or University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in software test automation, including at least 2 years of experience working with Guidewire Centers.\nExperience implementing test automation solutions within Agile delivery environments.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance principles, and software testing methodologies.\nTechnical experience designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks across multiple technology platforms and applications.\nExperience with API testing and automation using REST and SOAP services, XML/JSON, Java, and API framework development.\nStrong hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks including Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, TestCafe, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, BDD/Gherkin, and CI/CD pipeline integration.\nProficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.\nKnowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.\nExperience with version control systems such as Git.\nSolid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices, including Azure DevOps and/or Bitbucket.\nExperience using test management tools such as qTest, Xray, Zephyr, or HP ALM.\nPreferred Qualifications / Assets\nKnowledge of the insurance industry and Guidewire InsuranceSuite.\nExperience working with Guidewire applications.\nExperience with the Guidewire Test Automation Framework.\nFamiliarity with Guidewire test automation frameworks, including GT UI and GT API.\nExperience using Jira, Rally, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.\nProfessional certifications such as ISTQB, CSTP, or
