The role oversees the day-to-day management, inspection, servicing, repair, and recordkeeping of dive equipment, ensuring all assets function as intended and are maintained in line with manufacturer recommendations, local regulations, company standards, and operational requirements.\nJob Responsibilities\nGeneral\nReport to the Manager - Dive Operation and ensure all dive-related equipment is safe, serviceable, and operating as intended.\nLead the day-to-day technical management of diving equipment, including inspection, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs.\nSupport the planning and development of equipment requirements for current and future dive center assets.\nProvide technical support to other dive center locations, as required, to maintain consistent equipment standards across assets.\nWork flexibly across site-based, remote, and office environments in line with operational needs.\nEstablishment of Dive Center: Pre-Opening\nSupport the Manager - Dive Operation in preparing, setting up, and commissioning dive center equipment and related technical components.\nCoordinate with relevant RSG departments during the delivery stage to ensure equipment requirements, operational readiness, and project milestones are achieved.\nAssist in establishing maintenance schedules, inventory controls, spare-parts planning, and technical documentation prior to opening.\nEstablishment of Dive Center: Post-Opening\nMaintain high equipment operating standards, with safety as the first priority at all times.\nEnsure all dive center equipment, maintenance, servicing, and repairs are completed professionally, accurately, and within required timelines.\nMaintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all dive-related equipment, tools, spare parts, and technical assets.\nKeep complete and accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, servicing, repairs, faults, and corrective actions.\nCoordinate with the Dive Center Manager and operational teams to ensure sufficient spare parts and consumables are available for future servicing and repairs.\nBuild effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, suppliers, service providers, and operational stakeholders.\nSupport the daily running of the dive center by providing technical guidance and ensuring equipment readiness for guests and operational activities.\nPolicies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports\nComply with all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and work instructions to ensure the dive center operates in a safe, controlled, and consistent manner.\nSafety, Quality & Environment\nApply safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to protect employees, guests, and the public; ensure legislative compliance; support high-quality service delivery; and promote responsible environmental practices.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across dive center systems, maintenance processes, equipment practices, cost efficiency, productivity, and alignment with international best practice.\nJob Requirements\nQualification and Experience\nRecognized dive equipment servicing certification, such as PADI Equipment Specialist, PSI-PCI Visual Cylinder Inspector, or manufacturer-approved technician certification for major diving equipment brands.\nRecognized breathing-air compressor technician certification, such as Bauer Compressor Technician, Coltri Compressor Technician, or equivalent certification for high-pressure breathing-air compressor systems.\nCertified or qualified cylinder technician, with knowledge of inspection, testing, handling, and maintenance requirements.\nProven experience in servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dive equipment, compressors, cylinders, and related technical assets.\nStrong experience in equipment management, inventory control, spare-parts coordination, and maintenance recordkeeping.\nGood knowledge of diving health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.\nValid Fit to Dive Medical certification.\nEssential Skills\nStrong written and spoken English communication skills.\nClear, confident, and professional communicator with internal and external stakeholders.\nCustomer-focused mindset with a positive, proactive, and can-do attitude.\nFlexible and open-minded approach to changing operational environments, priorities, and tasks.\nSelf-motivated and able to deliver work accurately within agreed deadlines.\nAble to maintain dive-related equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, local legislation, and company policies.\nExcellent timekeeping, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.\nProfessional, reliable, and proactive, with the ability to act as a positive role model for colleagues.\nAble to work effectively with diverse cultures, nationalities, and multidisciplinary teams.\nCommitted to maintaining the highest possible safety standards for guests, employees, and equipment users.\nAble to work in a dive resort environment and comply with professional grooming and presentation standards.\nAble to work independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgment and discretion.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and able to maintain accurate maintenance, inventory, and administrative records.\nAble to coordinate equipment maintenance planning, scheduling, documentation, and administration.\nDesirable Skills\nAbility to communicate in an additional language, preferably Arabic.\nStrong guest experience orientation, particularly within high-end or luxury environments.\nExperience supporting high-end clientele with professionalism and discretion.\nUnderwater photography or videography skills.\nKnowledge of marine life identification, including fish, invertebrates, reptiles, and mammals.\nGas blending knowledge or certification.\nJob Context\nThe role operates within a high-end dive center environment under Galaxea, supporting safe, reliable, and guest-focused dive operations.
