You will work on the platform foundations that enable teams to develop, deploy, govern, monitor, and scale AI systems safely and reliably.\nYou’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of platform components and improvements, working with Kubernetes, Databricks, cloud-native technologies, and modern AI platform patterns while supporting our mission of delivering reliable and efficient systems.\nAbout your tasks\nBuild, configure, and maintain platform infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using established Infrastructure as Code practices and tools such as Terraform.\nSupport the operation and continuous improvement of the Azure Databricks platform, including configuration, automation, monitoring, access management, and troubleshooting.\nOperate and improve our Azure Kubernetes-based platform for the Data & AI department, supporting the deployment, management, and scaling of services using established GitOps and CI/CD practices.\nImplement platform changes and new capabilities following existing architecture patterns, security requirements, and engineering standards.\nContribute to reusable automation and self-service platform capabilities that make it easier for engineering, Data, and AI teams to deploy and operate their workloads.\nMonitor platform health, investigate operational issues, and independently resolve standard support cases, escalating complex problems when appropriate.\nCollaborate with Platform, Data, AI, MLOps, and Security colleagues and contribute to technical discussions, documentation, and platform improvements.\nParticipate in architecture and design discussions, bringing technical input and implementing agreed solutions with support from more experienced engineers when needed.\nContinuously develop your knowledge of cloud-native and Data & AI platform technologies and explore relevant technologies that can improve our platform.\n About you\nHands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure and a good understanding of core cloud concepts such as compute, networking, storage, identity, and security.\nPractical experience with containers and Kubernetes, and an understanding of how containerized workloads are deployed and operated.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform; familiarity with tools such as Helm is an advantage.\nExperience creating or maintaining standard deployment pipelines and working with Git-based development and delivery workflows.\nFamiliarity with logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting production or platform environments, with the ability to resolve common operational issues independently.\nExperience with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Go, or Shell for infrastructure automation and platform tooling.\nFamiliarity with Azure Databricks or similar Data & AI platforms, or a strong motivation to develop hands-on expertise in this area.\nBasic understanding of Data, Machine Learning, or AI workloads and how infrastructure and platform capabilities support them.\nAble to take ownership of your work, organize your tasks independently, communicate progress and challenges, and proactively ask for input when dealing with unfamiliar or complex topics.\nComfortable collaborating with engineers and stakeholders at working level and able to explain technical topics clearly.\nCurious and motivated to continuously improve your technical skills and contribute to team documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering practices.\nFluency in English; German language skills are a plus.\n About your benefits:\nIn order to provide you with the best possible support for your individual needs - whether it‘s living a healthy life, having enough time for your family, or developing your skills - we offer a wide range of different, site-specific benefits:\nWelcome days: We want you to feel at home with us from the very first day.
