As an integral part of the International Growth team, this role plays a key role in helping Reddit realize its mission: bringing community and belonging to everyone in the world.\nThis contract engagement is open to candidates based in the Netherlands.\nAs the Community Manager, you will be at the forefront of jumpstarting and fostering local communities. You will be an expert of the Dutch market, proficient in English and Dutch, and focused on proactive initiatives to build bridges with local volunteer moderators and innovate, iterate, refine, and scale our international consumer playbook. The insights derived from your relationships and experiments will help accelerate our growth in the market.\nWhat you will do: \nGain a deep understanding of the market to identify user and local moderator challenges, and market opportunities.\nIterate, innovate, and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities, suggesting bold ideas and programs, and persuading internal teams to align on new plans.\nBuild strategic plans to cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local community of moderators (i.e., volunteers who develop, maintain, and shape the culture of local communities). Implement a conversion funnel designed to onboard power users and external creators, transforming them into active moderators.\nCommunicate quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize and improve the international consumer growth playbook.\nBe obsessive about achieving aggressive goals and outcomes.\nAnalyze quantitative and qualitative data, set KPIs, and execute impactful community initiatives: leverage data to uncover community and moderator insights that will influence the direction of the local team in the market.\nWork cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and BD teams.\nWhat We Can Expect From You:\n5+ years of community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting experience with a track record of community-led projects that have driven business impact.\nDeep knowledge and understanding of Dutch culture, including current events, politics, customs, traditions, language, topics of interest, and taboos.\nNuanced comprehension of the digital landscape and the cultural intricacies inherent within it, including awareness of internet culture specific to the Netherlands and an appreciation for the diverse cultural facets shaping contemporary Dutch society.\nSuccinct and persuasive communicator: able to collaborate effectively across internal teams, local users, moderators, partners, content creators, influencers, etc.\nResults-obsessed: demonstrates outstanding execution and high attention to detail.\nDeep interest in developing and driving projects, framing issues and seeking solutions, testing hypotheses, and iterating on process improvements.\nProficiency in Dutch & English.\nIn select roles and locations, the interviews will be recorded, transcribed and summarized by artificial intelligence (AI).
