You will identify valuable business problems and own the engineering from discovery through production launch and adoption, with measurable impact on quality, speed, capacity, and cost.\nThis is an opportunity to build close to the people who use your work. Working with internal business teams and the AI Platform team, you will challenge existing workflows, make product and technical decisions, and ship AI applications, agents, integrations, and automations that employees can rely on.\nYou will write code, experiment quickly, and take responsibility for production quality. Your judgment will shape where AI adds value, where conventional automation is better, and what should remain a human decision. The components and insights you contribute will help other teams solve similar problems.\nYou will have room to own meaningful work, deepen your applied AI expertise, and see the results of what you build across Reddit.\nResponsibilities\nBuild AI applications, agents, skills, connectors, and workflow automations that solve business problems and improve how Reddit works.\nTranslate ambiguous business problems into AI-native workflows and technical delivery plans.\nWork closely with internal functions, embedding where needed to understand their work and build trust with AI champions, builders, and subject matter experts.\nUnderstand function goals, jobs to be done, current workflows, systems, data, and measures of success.\nPrototype within days and productionize priority workflows within weeks when feasible.\nIntegrate approved data, tools, APIs, and actions into safe end-to-end workflows.\nDefine evals, review gates, human-in-the-loop controls, observability, and evidence.\nLaunch trusted production workflows with governance, support, reversibility, and named owners.\nTransfer maintainable workflows to function owners and reduce long-term dependency on the team.\nReturn repeated needs, blockers, and infrastructure requirements to the AI Platform Hub.\nTurn local wins into reusable agents, skills, templates, connectors, playbooks, and platform patterns.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years building software, including AI applications, agents, automations, or internal tools.\nStrong engineering fundamentals and production judgment; translates ambiguous business needs into solutions.\nHands-on agent development and deployment, including tool/API use, orchestration, state, and failure handling.\nEnterprise integrations using MCP or comparable tool integration patterns.\nExperience with LLM retrieval and structured outputs.\nReliable AI operations: cloud deployment, access controls, observability, evals, failure analysis, and improvement.\nClear technical and non-technical communication; explains tradeoffs and incorporates feedback.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with enterprise business systems, internal tools, or embedded delivery.\nExperience creating reusable components or helping teams adopt new tools.\nExperience redesigning business workflows and measuring gains in quality, speed, capacity, or cost.\nExperience building user-facing AI tools and driving adoption through feedback, onboarding, and training.\nBenefits:\nComprehensive Healthcare Benefits\n401k Matching\nWorkspace benefits for your home office\nPersonal & Professional development funds\nFamily Planning Support\nFlexible Vacation (please use them!) & Reddit Global Wellness Days\n4+ months paid Parental Leave\nPaid Volunteer time off\nPay Transparency:\nThis job posting may span more than one career level.\nIn addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission.
