It’s built on shared interests, passion, and trust, and is home to the most open and authentic conversations on the internet. Every day, Reddit users submit, vote, and comment on the topics they care most about. With 100,000+ active communities and approximately 130 million daily active unique visitors, Reddit is one of the internet’s largest sources of information. For more information, visit www.redditinc.com.\nReddit has a flexible workforce! If you happen to live close to one of our physical office locations our doors are open for you to come into the office as often as you'd like. Don't live near one of our offices? No worries: You can apply to work remotely in any country in which we have a physical presence\nAbout the Job\nThe Deployment Infrastructure team is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of the web UI for our build and deployment platform. In this role, you’ll craft a cohesive, intuitive user experience that enables engineers across Reddit to build, test, and ship software safely and confidently to a globally distributed cloud ecosystem.\nOur team owns continuous integration, continuous deployment, and the underlying systems that power build and deployment workflows. We’re looking for an engineer who operates at the intersection of frontend engineering, distributed systems and infrastructure, and developer experience.\nIn your day-to-day, you can expect to:\nDesign, build, and ship high-quality features across the stack, with a focus on creating reusable, maintainable UI components and polished frontends that scale with the platform\nContribute to backend systems to deliver cohesive, end-to-end product experiences\nDefine and enforce clean API boundaries between frontend and backend systems\nCollaborate with teammates to build a platform that supports:\nOrchestrating complex deployment workflows\nProgressive rollouts across clusters and regions\nAutomated rollback of failed deployments\nObservability into deployment health and performance\nTranslate complex infrastructure technologies and concepts (e.g., Kubernetes, Argo Rollouts, deployment policies) into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces\nEngage directly with engineers across Reddit-conducting user interviews, gathering feedback, and deeply understanding developer workflows-to shape an opinionated “paved path” for releases\nRaise the bar for full-stack engineering across the team through code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing\nParticipate in the team’s on-call rotation and contribute to the reliability of our platform\nContinuously grow your technical and non-technical skills\nYou Have:\n5+ years of experience building full-stack applications, with strong frontend expertise\nDeep proficiency in modern frontend development; experience with component-based frameworks (e.g., React, Lit) is valuable, but strong fundamentals matter most\nSolid backend experience and understanding of API design, service boundaries, and system architecture\nExperience with CI/CD, build systems (e.g., Buildkite, GitHub Actions, Drone) and progressive delivery tools (e.g., Argo Workflows/Rollouts/CD, Kayenta)\nFamiliarity with Temporal, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)\nExcellent communication skills that you employ to drive alignment, to navigate tradeoffs, to influence decisions and priorities, and to empower others\nA high degree of empathy, curiosity, and humility, with a passion for improving both developer experience and Reddit’s reliability\nA strong sense of ownership. You take initiative, lead projects end-to-end, and go beyond your immediate scope to ensure successful outcomes and drive impact across the platform\nA self-directed, action-oriented approach. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, learning quickly, and driving work forward even when the path is not fully defined\nBonuses:\nExperience on developer experience, infrastructure, or platform teams\nExperience building systems for CI/CD, progressive delivery, or other internal developer platforms\nExperience conducting user research or gathering feedback from technical users\nExperience with implementing UI/UX design yourself and comfort with design software such as Figma\nExperience with backend-adjacent technologies such as GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, or Go\nFamiliarity with multi-cluster or multi-region deployment strategies\nInterest in exploring and integrating emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI) to improve developer workflows\nBenefits:\nComprehensive Healthcare Benefits and Income Replacement Programs\n401k with Employer Match\nGlobal Benefit programs that fit your lifestyle, from workspace to professional development to caregiving support\nFamily Planning Support\nGender-Affirming Care\nMental Health & Coaching Benefits\nFlexible Vacation & Paid Volunteer Time Off\nGenerous Paid Parental Leave \nPay Transparency:\nThis job posting may span more than one career level.\nIn addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission.
