This commitment to exceptional service is why we are one of America’s leading brands in ice production and manufacturing.\nJob Summary\nResponsible for the safe operation and sanitation of high-speed production equipment and associated support equipment such as metal in product detectors, film wrappers, conveyors etc. In addition, the Production Technician must be willing & able to:\nPerform product & size changeovers\nComplete daily production & quality logs\nKeep work area neat and orderly\nCarry out daily & weekly maintenance on assigned equipment\nAssist plant engineers and mechanics in completing higher-level maintenance tasks\nThis is a full-time, permanent position with Reddy Ice that includes a competitive hourly wage, a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a company-matching 401(k) plan. ***Health and Wellness benefits available on your first day of employment.***\nEducation & Experience Required:\nMust have a high school diploma or GED equivalent\nDemonstrated work experience and knowledge of mechanical or industrial equipment\nEducation & Experience Preferred:\nUnderstands basic hand tools\nPrior work experience with robotic equipment\nDesired Skills/Attributes:\nAbility to learn and understand machine operation including major components and how these components are integrated into a fully functional machine\nAbility to troubleshoot & remedy basic operational problems\nWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements:\nConditions vary from office conditions to areas inside and outside of plant. Exposure to extreme temperature fluctuations, electrical hazards, ammonia and heavy moving equipment. The job requires working nights and weekends as directed. While performing the duties of this job, the technician is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to stand, walk, and lift objects that weigh from 15 pounds to over 50 pounds on a daily basis.
