The Procurement Engineer will support the identification of vendors to fulfill procurement requirements in accordance with specifications, perform item equivalency reviews, develop purchase orders, and lead receipt inspection activities to support the Chrysalis, and other SHINE-specific projects.\nThe base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $125,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.\nDuties and Responsibilities of the Procurement Engineer:\nSpecific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nInterface with Engineering organization to identify safety functions and use case of items.\nInterface with Engineering to develop receipt inspection criteria for acceptance of items.\nInterface with Commercial Grade Dedication, and Construction organizations to understand how procurement lead times affect testing and installation dates.\nProvide input to project schedule for procurement activities. \nSupport development of procurement strategies with Engineering and other Procurement staff, including development of requests for proposals (RFPs).\nPerform receipt inspections for safety-related and non-safety-related items.\nGenerate Over, Short, Damage, and Discrepant (OSDD) reports as required.\nGenerate nonconformance reports as required.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, science or other technical field.\n5 years of experience in engineering or relevant field.\nMust be skilled in the use of Microsoft 365 software.\nStrong leadership and time management skills.\nAbility to develop strong vendor relationships. \nAbility to work accurately and independently.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nTime management and organizational skills.\nPreferred Experience:\nUnderstanding of ASME NQA-1 requirements.\nUnderstanding in equipment qualification.\nUnderstanding of nuclear facility principles and operation.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:\nRequires occasional leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.\nModerate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. \nFine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.\nWork involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. \nWork environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. \nEligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
