Additionally, the ideal candidate will act as a technical expert and team leader. They will bridge the gap between high level project management and hands-on engineering execution.\nThe base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $155,000 per hour plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSpecific duties and responsibilities of the Senior I&C Engineer include, but are not limited to:\nSet the technical and operational pace for the group \nDirect end-to-end delivery, coordinate cross-functional planning, and communicate directly with stakeholders, project managers, and company leadership. \nAlign software architecture with business strategy \nShape cross platform vision and work with the organization to where ambiguity exists to decide on core technologies to adopt for the future \nMentorship of team members \nStrengthening team culture \nRepresent the technical team outward to the organization and ensure that engineering efforts drive overarching business goals \nCollaborate with managers to define and handle requirements \nDesigns major features, optimizes system performance, ensures code quality through code reviews, and tackles architectural hurdles \nRequirements\n7+ years of experience in relevant roles preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or software engineering or equivalent experience.\nKnowledge in I&C systems, hardware, software, theory of operation, testing, qualification, and plant start-ups.\nAbility to think strategically and take decisive action once the necessary information has been gathered. \nAbility to critically evaluate information and the boldness to ask questions when things don’t make sense. \nThe following are considered a plus:\nExperience in nuclear analog and digital instrumentation, control, and monitoring.? \nKnowledge of nuclear safety related systems desired but not required (NQA-1). \nUnderstanding of appropriate cable shielding, type, radiation tolerance, and separation by safety train. \nWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:\nModerate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 50 pounds. \nFine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.\nExposure to radiation fields (within regulatory dose limits), requiring comfort working in radiologically controlled areas with dosimetry badges and monitoring. \nWork environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions and wearing specific Personal Protective Equipment.\nEligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
