This role plays a critical part in advancing radiochemical processes and ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.\nThe base salary range for this position is $75,000 -$120,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSpecific duties and responsibilities of the Senior Radiochemist include, but are not limited to:\nLead and execute experiments for isotope production and used nuclear fuel (UNF) recycling, applying techniques such as column chromatography, solvent extraction, and crystallization.\nEnsure safe handling of radiological materials in compliance with ALARA principles. \nMaintain and calibrate key analytical and radioanalytical instruments including ICP-MS, HPGe, LSC, a/ß spectrometry, and XRD. \nContribute to innovative research by drafting proposals for funding opportunities.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.\nDemonstrated experience handling radioactive materials and operating radioanalytical instrumentation.\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a radiological laboratory environment.\nPrior work with UNF and expertise in separation science (e.g., solvent extraction, chromatographic separation) strongly preferred.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing technical proposals.\nEligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
