This position ensures product quality during final handling, proper labeling, and preparation for storage or shipment. The Packer plays a critical role in maintaining production flow, minimizing product damage, and supporting overall operational efficiency while adhering to safety and quality requirements.\nRequirements\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPacking and Packaging\nPackage polyethylene film products in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.\nEnsure proper use of packaging materials including cores, bags, boxes, and pallets.\nApply labels, tags, and identification markings accurately to finished goods.\nPalletize finished products safely and securely for transport or storage.\nProduct Quality\nPerform visual inspections of finished products for defects such as holes, contamination, uneven edges, or damage.\nEnsure packaged products meet quality standards for appearance and protection.\nSegregate and report non-conforming or damaged materials in accordance with company procedures.\nMaintain attention to detail to prevent packaging errors or mislabeling.\nProduction Support\nRemove finished product from extrusion lines in a timely manner to maintain production flow.\nAssist operators during production runs by keeping packing areas organized and stocked.\nSupport line clean-up and product changeovers as needed.\nMonitor packaging supply levels and notify supervision when replenishment is required.\nSafety and Housekeeping\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.\nUtilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards.\nReport all safety concerns, near misses, and incidents immediately.\nEquipment Use\nSafely use pallet jacks and basic packing equipment as trained.\nHandle finished goods carefully to prevent damage during handling and storage.\nReport any equipment or material issues that may impact operations.\nTeamwork and Communication\nCommunicate effectively with extrusion operators, supervisors, and coworkers.\nParticipate in shift change communication and daily production updates.\nSupport team goals and assist coworkers as needed to meet production targets.\nDocumentation\nComplete packing logs, labels, and production documentation accurately and timely.\nEnsure traceability of finished goods through proper documentation.\nFollow company procedures for recording production and packaging data.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nPrevious manufacturing or packing experience preferred.\nExperience in plastics or extrusion environment is a plus.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nBasic math skills including counting and simple measurements.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\":\nPhysical Demands\nFrequent standing and walking throughout the shift.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.\nFrequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.\nAbility to handle rolls of plastic film safely.\nWork Environment\nManufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment.\nRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\nFast-paced production environment with defined output expectations.\nMay require overtime, weekends, and shift work depending on business
