The Data Team Lead contributes hands-on to delivery while supporting team development, consistency of implementation, and overall execution quality.\nThe role operates within a project-based delivery model and works closely with the Project Manager and Data Architect to translate priorities and designs into delivered outcomes.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nCoordinate day-to-day delivery activities across Data Engineers and Power BI Developers.\n\nTranslate project priorities into actionable work items and support backlog execution.\n\nWork closely with the Project Manager on planning, sequencing, and tracking of technical deliverables.\n\nEnsure alignment between technical work and project timelines, milestones, and dependencies.\n\nIdentify and help resolve delivery risks, blockers, and dependencies.\n\nContribute directly to development of data pipelines, transformations, and datasets as needed.\n\nSupport implementation of data solutions aligned with established architecture and design.\n\nAssist in troubleshooting data issues and ensuring reliability of delivered solutions.\n\nProvide guidance to team members on implementation approaches, standards, and best practices.\n\nSupport consistency in data modeling, pipeline design, and development practices.\n\nParticipate in design discussions with the Data Architect and contribute practical input based on delivery experience.\n\nSupport onboarding and mentoring of Data Engineers and Power BI Developers.\n\nEncourage knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.\n\nProvide input on performance, growth, and capability development.\n\nWork with business stakeholders as needed to clarify requirements and support delivery.\n\nParticipate in working sessions, demos, and reviews to validate outputs.\n\nEnsure delivered solutions are aligned with business needs and usable for reporting and analysis.\n\nPromote good practices in data quality, validation, and monitoring.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of data solutions.\n\nSupport incremental improvement of data assets and processes.\n\nSupport implementation of data governance practices, including metadata, lineage, access control, and data quality.\n\nApply established standards and decision frameworks for shared KPIs, hierarchies, and reporting usage.\n\nContribute to master data alignment (e.g., projects, equipment, locations, cost codes) in collaboration with the Data Architect and business stakeholders.\n\nSupport implementation of security models (e.g., row-level security in Power BI) and ensure adherence to organizational, safety, and regulatory requirements.\n\nMaintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath business and vendor information\n\nSupport other members of the Corporate IT teams as required\n\nThe duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive\n\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data/Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Mining/Construction Engineering;
