We are particularly interested in candidates from the South West Sydney region, including Campbelltown and surrounding areas, although FIFO and DIDO options with accommodation may be available for highly experienced shaft sinking personnel.\nCandidates with experience in shaft sinking, tunnelling, underground mining, construction, fixed plant, or mobile plant maintenance are encouraged to apply.\nRoster\n14 Days On / 14 Days Off\nAs a Shaft Electrician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising shaft sinking infrastructure, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical, control, and automation systems on site.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain a strong commitment to safety and ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures in confined and vertical shaft environments.\nInterpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings to determine installation and maintenance requirements.\nInstall, maintain, and repair temporary winders and associated systems in accordance with Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.\nConduct statutory testing and inspections in line with AS3000 and relevant legislation.\nPerform routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on shaft winder electrical, control, and automation systems.\nDiagnose faults and complete root cause analysis on control circuits, variable speed drives, and communication networks, including EtherNet/IP and DeviceNet.\nProgram, configure, and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation systems, including:Allen Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs\nPanelView HMIs\nFactoryTalk View SE/ME\nStudio 5000 / RSLogix 5000\n\nMonitor and optimise equipment performance through SCADA and control system diagnostics.\nSupport and mentor team members through training, coaching, and performance development.\nEnsure compliance with all Redpath and client SHEQ/WHS policies, procedures, and standards.\n About You\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:\nElectrical Trade Qualification\nHV Switching or High Voltage experience highly regarded\nCurrent Australian Manual Driver's Licence\nWorking Safely at Heights certification\nCurrent First Aid Certificate\nExperience in underground mining, shaft sinking, tunnelling, heavy industry, or construction environments preferred\nStrong commitment to safety and teamwork\nAbility to pass a Pre
