This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is committed to safety, quality workmanship, and delivering reliable maintenance outcomes.\n Key Responsibilities\nLead and supervise the workshop maintenance team, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while acting independently in the absence of the Workshop Supervisor.\nPlan, allocate, and monitor repairs, servicing, and scheduled maintenance activities, including issuing work orders and ensuring compliance with technical procedures and statutory requirements.\nProvide leadership, technical support, and mentoring to tradespersons and apprentices, assisting with complex mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repairs as required.\nMaintain effective communication with supervisors and operators, providing regular updates on maintenance progress and equipment availability.\nComplete all required administrative tasks accurately and on time, including daily shift reports, maintenance documentation, goods receipting, and inventory management. \n About You:\nTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:\nRelevant trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment or Diesel Fitter, with experience maintaining underground mining equipment.\nDemonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills, including fault finding, interpreting schematics, and knowledge of auto electrical systems.\nProven leadership ability with strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently while following instructions accurately.\nCurrent manual driver's licence and First Aid & CPR qualification, with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.\nWhy Join Redpath?\nThis is a full time, long-term opportunity with excellent job security benefits:\nCompetitive hourly rates + super paid on all hours\nEven time roster for true work life balance\nOngoing training & OEM accredited trade courses\nClear career progression pathways\nPPE provided\nSalary Sacrifice options for Superannuation and Novated car leasing \nDiscounted health insurance with BUPA \nPrescription safety glasses reimbursement (up to $200) \nEmployee Assistance Program -
