# Master Mechanic

The primary role of the Master Mechanic is the direct supervision and performance of underground and surface mechanical personnel to ensure quality maintenance, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, disassembly, inspections, rebuilds, and reassembly to diesel, electrical, hydraulic and air operated components and equipment such as engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, electrical codes, etc. all related to mining equipment such as Jumbo drills, haul trucks, bolters, loaders, dozers, etc 1. Manages preventative maintenance, general/major maintenance and repairs, diagnostics, inspection, disassembly/assembly, etc. and that work is conducted according to regulatory, safety and company specifications. 2. Performs advanced maintenance, technical and diagnostic tasks. 3. Assigns, schedules, and supervises work assignments. Ensure all planned maintenance is carried out per the maintenance schedule. 4. Responsible for the hiring, evaluation, commendation, mentoring, training, disciplinary action, and dismissals regarding supervised staff. 5.
