This role is critical in maintaining a safe, productive, and high-performing work environment, while ensuring work is completed efficiently, to a high standard, and with a strong focus on teamwork and respect.\n Key Responsibilities\nLead and supervise underground personnel to ensure safe and productive operations.\nConduct hazard identification and risk assessments to minimise workplace risks.\nEnsure compliance with site procedures, safety policies, and statutory regulations.\nMonitor workplace inspections, pre-start checks, and equipment condition.\nInvestigate and report incidents, hazards, and environmental issues promptly.\nCoordinate emergency response activities and ensure crew awareness of emergency procedures.\nLead shift handovers and communicate mine status, priorities, and equipment requirements.\nPlan and coordinate underground activities to achieve production schedules and targets.\nLiaise with management, maintenance teams, and cross-shift supervisors to maximise productivity.\nTrain, mentor, and develop team members while supporting workforce planning and leave management.\nManage crew performance, discipline, and workplace grievances fairly and consistently.\nAttend and contribute to safety, production, planning meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n About You:\nAustralian Citizen or Permanent Resident.\nWestern Australia Shiftboss Ticket.\nMinimum 5 years’ underground mining experience.\nValid manual driver’s licence and a strong commitment to workplace safety.\nExtensive knowledge of contemporary underground mining practices, with the ability to maximise safety and productivity.\nWhy Join Redpath?\nThis is a full time, long-term opportunity with excellent job security benefits:\nLong term client based.\nIncome protection insurance is available for salary employees\nEven time roster for true work life balance\nCompetitive hourly rates + super paid on all hours\nOngoing training & OEM accredited trade courses\nClear career progression pathways\nSalary Sacrifice options for Superannuation and Novated car leasing \nDiscounted health insurance with BUPA \nRedzone Reward Program -
