This is your chance to be part of a pioneering initiative in drone-enabled public health logistics.\nRole Summary\nWe are hiring Flight Operators to execute autonomous drone deliveries as part of Redwing’s medical drone logistics program in Andhra Pradesh.\nAs a Flight Operator, you will be responsible for daily BVLOS flights, ensuring safe and timely drone operations from hub to healthcare nodes. This role is operationally intensive and requires both technical skills and strong on-ground discipline.\nYou will be part of a fast-moving team under the supervision of the Flight Operations Lead and will work closely with local health staff and Redwing’s central teams.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Flight Execution\nConduct daily drone flights as per schedule from hub and designated nodes\nFollow SOPs for pre-flight checks, flight planning, GCS operations, and emergency protocols\nEnsure incident-free flying, with full adherence to safety and regulatory norms\nMonitor real-time telemetry and flag anomalies during missions\n2. Technical Readiness & Drone Handling\nPerform pre-flight technical inspections and system checks on UAVs, batteries, and GCS\nCarry out basic troubleshooting of flight systems and ground hardware\nMaintain cleanliness and readiness of all equipment, payload compartments, and storage systems\nFollow charging cycles and battery safety protocols strictly\n3. Documentation & Compliance\nMaintain flight logs, safety checklists, incident reports, and cargo documentation\nSubmit accurate reports to Flight Operations Lead daily\nEnsure all operations are in line with DGCA BVLOS regulations and Redwing's internal standards\n4. Coordination & Team Collaboration\nCoordinate with the Flight Operations Lead for daily tasking, route planning, and risk assessments\nCommunicate with healthcare facility staff during handover and reception of medical supplies\nSupport medical team in understanding basic operational workflows\n5. Emergency Handling\nBe ready to handle mid-mission errors, emergency landings, and technical hitches as per SOP\nAssist in critical medical missions requiring immediate dispatch\nAct as a key player in field-level emergency preparedness and response\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\n Education: Diploma/ITI/Graduation in technical disciplines (Electronics, Mechatronics, Aviation, Engineering preferred)\nDGCA Certification: Must hold a valid DGCA small-category RPAS license from an authorized RPTO\nExperience: 1-3 years in drone operations or equivalent hands-on UAV experience\nTechnical Skills:\nFamiliarity with Pixhawk-based systems and basic understanding of hybrid VTOL drones\nOperational knowledge of ground control software (Mission Planner/QGroundControl)\nAbility to conduct basic drone maintenance and battery safety checks\nLanguage: Proficiency in Hindi and Telugu, basic English reading/writing is a plus\nOther Requirements:\nComfort working in remote and rural areas\nWillingness to travel extensively within the district\nStrong personal discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to safety\nPreferred Attributes\nPassion for aviation, drones, and emerging technology\nInterest in supporting healthcare delivery through logistics innovation\nEagerness to learn and grow into senior roles through performance and discipline\nStrong teamwork, communication, and situational awareness\nWhy This Role Matters\nAs a Flight Operator, you are on the frontlines of revolutionizing healthcare logistics in India.
