The company is profitable, the market it operates in is projected to grow 20 to 50 times over the next decade, and Redwood is the only company with the supply chain, the technology, and the operational scale to lead it.\nHardware Technical Program Manager, Energy Storage: \nWe are seeking a Hardware Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the development, testing, and manufacturing of complex, box-level electronics assemblies. You will own program execution from concept through production, coordinating across hardware engineering, validation, supply chain, and operations. This role is about making sure our hardware - from circuit boards and flex assemblies to enclosures, connectors, and integrated box builds - is designed for reliability, tested thoroughly, and built to scale. \nResponsibilities Will Include:\nDrive end-to-end hardware program execution (requirements → design → validation → NPI → ramp) \nLead cross-functional teams spanning mechanical, electrical, firmware, industrial design, test, and manufacturing engineering\nPlan and manage prototype and production builds, including materials, logistics, and factory readiness \nOversee board and flex releases, system integration, and validation testing (DVT/PVT/MP builds) \nPartner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to drive DFM/DFT reviews, yield improvement, and issue resolution \nMaintain clear build plans, risk registers, and program dashboards; proactively manage schedule and resource risks \nServe as the primary interface between Redwood engineering teams and external manufacturing partners \nProvide transparent updates to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting status, risks, and key decisions \nDesired Qualifications: \nBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline (advanced degree a plus) \n5+ years of experience in hardware program management, hardware engineering, or manufacturing operations \nProven success driving NPI builds and scaling hardware programs to volume production \nStrong understanding of box-level assemblies (PCBs, flex circuits, harnessing, enclosures, thermal systems) \nExceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills; proven ability to thrive in high-ambiguity environments \nWillingness to travel to Redwood’s sites, suppliers, and contract manufacturers as needed \nThepositionisfull-timeandlocatedinSan Francisco, CA.Compensationwillbecommensuratewithexperience.\nIn accordance with California pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is listed below.
