The company is profitable, the market it operates in is projected to grow 20 to 50 times over the next decade, and Redwood is the only company with the supply chain, the technology, and the operational scale to lead it.\nSenior Training Specialist, Environment, Health, And Safety \nAs a Senior EHS and Training Engineer, you will be responsible foroverseeing the EHS and Trainingprograms for Redwood’s Energy Services business unit. This position will support power electronics manufacturing and assembly, power electronics R&D, project site commissioning,product certification testingand field service and maintenance operations.You will translate regulatory and company requirementsinto hands-on programs that operators, technicians, and engineers can apply immediately. This role is primarily performed in a plant and production environment, with regular presence on the operating floor and periodic travel to support the R&Dteam and field service operations. \nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPartner with process and manufacturing engineering during production linedesign, ramp, and changes to eliminatehazards at the design stage (Design for EHS) before equipment is released to production. \nProvide EHS support to Redwood's R&Dpower electronics development team, including lab and prototype safety reviews, electrical safety practices, and hazard assessments for engineering builds. \nSupport field service and maintenance teams with EHS guidance for on-site and field work, including lockout/tag-out, work on energized equipment, and site-specific hazard controls. \nMaintain the EHS training matrix and learning management system records tied to PackManager assembly, R&Dpower electronics, and field service roles so required training and certifications remainaudit-ready, and report completion and certification metrics to leadership.\nSupport audits and regulatory inspections related toEnergy Services processes, and revise EHS content as equipment, standards, and floor feedback require. \nDevelop and deliver relevanttraining to Energy Services team members including,LOTO, Electrical Safety, forklift operations, etc. \nDeliver 10-hour general industry safety training to new hires and production personnel supporting PACK Manager assembly, and coordinate 30-hour training for supervisors and leads.\nCreate work instructions, visuals, and toolbox talks that translate work requirements into training content for a diverse production workforce. \nQualifications: \nBachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industrial EHS training experience.\n5+ years’ experience developing and delivering EHS programsin manufacturing, heavy industry, or warehousing, ideally in an equivalent industry such as inverter manufacturing, solar panel manufacturing, or power electronics OEMs.\nAuthorized outreach trainer status for general industry safety training preferred, or the ability to obtain it within the first year. \nWorking knowledge of federal and state general industry safety regulations, ANSI B11 machine safety standards, and risk assessment methods.\nDemonstrated experience applying Design for EHS or prevention-through-design principles.\nConfident classroom and floor-level instruction, paired with strong technical writing skills for complex regulatory content. \nProfessional composure and interpersonalcredibility to stop unsafe work and coach through it.\nDetail-oriented and organized, with accuraterecord-keeping in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.\nProficiencyin MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and learning management or EHS platforms.\nComfortable in an active production environment, including noise, dust, moving equipment, and requiredpersonal protective equipment.\nCSP, ASP, or CHST certification and experience in battery recycling,renewable energy, inverter manufacturing, solar panel manufacturing, or power electronics OEMsare a plus. \nWhile this role is not designated as safety-sensitive, employees may not report to work or perform job duties while impaired or under the influence of cannabis, alcohol, or any other substance that may affect safety, performance, or judgment.
