Working closely with Product Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Security, and Cloud Operations teams, you will develop scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud solutions that enable the continued growth of the platform.\nThis role is focused on engineering rather than operational support. You will spend the majority of your time building and improving infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code, developing automation, enhancing platform capabilities, and implementing cloud-native solutions on AWS. Working within an Agile delivery model, you will contribute to sprint-based development, leveraging software engineering practices such as code reviews, automated testing, GitHub workflows, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable and maintainable infrastructure.\nPlatform Engineering & Automation\nDesign, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).\n\nBuild reusable infrastructure modules, patterns, and platform services that can be consumed across engineering teams.\n\nDevelop automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve platform consistency, scalability, and reliability.\n\nDesign and maintain GitHub Actions workflows and CI/CD pipelines to support automated infrastructure delivery.\n\nContribute to platform architecture, engineering standards, and technical roadmaps.\n\nApply software engineering best practices including version control, peer reviews, automated testing, and continuous delivery.\n\nAWS Cloud Engineering\nDesigning secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.\n\nImplementing cloud-native solutions and automation.\n\nOptimizing infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Support incident investigations by identifying opportunities for engineering and automation improvements.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\nEmbed security controls and compliance requirements into infrastructure and deployment pipelines.\n\nImplement security scanning, policy enforcement, and automated compliance validation.\n\nContribute to secure-by-design platform architectures.\n\nSupport vulnerability remediation and continuous security improvement initiatives.\n\nPartner with security teams to maintain governance and compliance standards.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Product Engineering, SRE, Security, and Cloud Operations teams to deliver platform capabilities.\n\nParticipate in technical design discussions and architectural decision-making. Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.\n\nProvide cloud and platform expertise to support the evolution of the RunMyJobs platform.\n\n YOUR EXPERIENCE\n3-6 years of experience supporting SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps environments.\n\nExperience operating production workloads in AWS.\n\nExperience supporting customer-facing enterprise software environments. Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting.\n\nStrong experience designing, building, and operating solutions on AWS, with a solid understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.\n\nProven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred). Experience building cloud-native platform solutions and infrastructure automation.\n\nProficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash (PowerShell desirable).\n\nStrong Git and GitHub experience, including GitHub Actions and workflow automation.\n\nExperience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\n\nStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.\n\nKnowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing, and VPN concepts.\n\nExperience with monitoring, observability, logging, metrics, and alerting platforms.\n\nExperience applying software engineering practices to infrastructure development, including code reviews, testing, version control, and continuous delivery.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and architectural design skills.\n\nExperience working with containerized and cloud-native technologies (ECS, EKS/Kubernetes desirable).\n\nUnderstanding of: SaaS operations Incident management Change management Root cause analysis Service reliability concepts\n\nExperience working in a 24x7 operational environment.\n\nPay Transparency: The typical base salary range for this position is 120,000 - 137,000 CAD annually.
