You will be instrumental in the design, development, and enhancement of our platform, building high-quality, scalable, and secure software that powers enterprise data exchange for more than 1,000 customers worldwide.\nAs a Software Engineer, you will:\nTechnical Delivery & Architecture: Solve complex engineering problems, follow established best practices, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with peers, while contributing to the development, security, compliance, and observability of our Java/Spring Boot microservices.\nPlatform and Infrastructure Implementation: Develop a solid understanding of our core platform and infrastructure, contributing to its resilience, component communication, and scalability.\nCross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate and drive cross-team collaboration with Product, QA, and other engineering groups to ensure end-to-end alignment and successful product delivery.\nAI Integration: Research and apply AI/ML concepts and their usage to innovate and enhance the MFT (Managed File Transfer) and WLA (Workload Automation) product capabilities (e.g., intelligent routing, predictive maintenance, enhanced security).\nYOUR EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n4-8 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant focus on high-scale products and platforms.\nStrong Java, Spring Boot, and REST API skills with a solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and architecture principles.\nCloud Platform Experience (AWS Preferred): Practical experience deploying, maintaining, and developing solutions on a major cloud platform, with a good understanding of cloud concepts including networking, security, and cost efficiency.\nExpertise in building distributed SaaS systems, micro services, APIs, Kubernetes, cloud platforms.\nAI Awareness: Proven familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their usage, with practical experience or a strong conceptual understanding of how to apply these techniques to solve engineering problems.\nDevOps Expertise: Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, and automated platform management.\nEKS/Kubernetes: Strong working knowledge of container orchestration, specifically with EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), including inter-component communication and basic cluster operations.\nProtocol Understanding: In-depth understanding of enterprise file transfer protocols (e.g., SFTP, FTPS, AS2) and secure communication protocols.\nProven ability to contribute to key technical initiatives and collaborate effectively with engineering peers.\nKnowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nExperience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with SAP.\nIf you like growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!\nTHE LEGAL BIT\nRedwood is an equal opportunity employer.
