Please note our ability to accommodate flexible working arrangements will vary from role to role, dependent on business requirements.\nJob Description\nAre you an analytical finance professional with excellent attention to detail?\nAre you confident working with complex financial data, reconciliations and reporting?\nConsider the role of a Contract Analyst at Reed in Partnership.\nPlease note, internal applications for this role will close on the 14th October 2026.\nWhat the job is about?\nAs a Contract Analyst, you will play an important role in delivering accurate and timely accounting and reconciliation of contract income and supply chain costs across Reed in Partnership and Reed Wellbeing.\nWorking closely with the Senior Contract Accountant, you'll provide financial analysis and operational insight to support effective contract performance and informed decision-making. You'll support period-end close activities, prepare journals and balance sheet reconciliations, manage billing and self-billing processes and assist with audit and performance reporting.\nYou'll be comfortable working with large and complex datasets and will have a strong analytical approach, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.\nYou'll also have the opportunity to identify ways of improving financial processes, reporting and automation using tools such as Excel, Power Query and Microsoft Power Platform.\nKey Responsibilities:\nComplete period-end close activities, including preparing and posting journals and carrying out variance analysis against Budget, Forecast and Prior Period.\nPrepare and maintain assigned balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.\nPrepare and submit commissioner cost claims, maintaining all necessary supporting evidence in line with contractual and funding requirements.\nSupport the accurate accounting and reconciliation of contract income and supply chain costs.\nSupport internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.\nMaintain clear audit trails and ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies and procedures.\nPrepare and distribute contract-specific sales and self-billing invoices in accordance with agreed billing schedules.\nMonitor outstanding debt and support collection activity, working with operational teams, commissioners and supply chain partners.\nProduce regular billing, debt and cash collection reports for management.\nInvestigate and support the resolution of billing and payment discrepancies.\nSupport improvements to ERP systems and financial processes to increase efficiency and consistency.\nIdentify opportunities to improve reporting, data handling and automation through advanced Excel, Power Query and other reporting tools. \nWhat's in it for you?\nA competitive salary of £30,000-£35,000, with the salary offered within this range determined by your experience and relevant qualifications.\nAt Reed in Partnership, we live and breathe our values in every decision and action we take, creating a collaborative and enjoyable culture within our teams.\nOur company values are:\nWe are fair, open and honest; we take ownership; and we work together.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nTo be successful in this role, you will:\nBe studying towards or part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.\nHave strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.\nBe able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.\nHave strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.\nBe a proactive problem solver with strong analytical and investigative skills. \nDesirable Skills & Experience:\nIt would also be advantageous if you have:\nExperience using ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP or Workday, with Workday experience particularly relevant to the role.\nFamiliarity with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.\nExperience working within a high-volume or multi-contract finance environment.\nIf you're an analytical, detail-focused finance professional looking to develop your career while contributing to the performance of a diverse range of contracts, we'd love to hear from you.\nWe aim to ensure that no candidate or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, age, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity.
