If you’re ready for your work to matter, we’re ready to hear from you!\nWe’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Shop Technician to be located at our Sherwood Park, Alberta facility. The\nShop Technician will assist the Maintenance Manager & Shop Coordinator with equipment readiness and maintenance. In addition to the maintenance and readiness of the equipment, the Shop Technician will ensure that shop maintenance areas are stocked appropriately with tools, supplies, and other applicable items to ensure the mission readiness and capability of RTI equipment.\nThe successful candidate will be engaged as a contract employee through an approved staffing agency.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nMaintain inventory in an orderly manner\nPull parts for various project and stage for shipping\nLoad and unload trucks\nReceive deliveries\nReconcile returns against original shipping documents\nDeliver equipment to sites\nRestock components upon return from project\nPerform preventative maintenance of equipment\nInspect equipment before and after each project\nComplete minor repair of equipment\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nDocumented mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical education\nAbility to operate a forklift\nAbility to use hand tools\nAbility to organize and maintain regional repair shops to provide for timely and effective repairs of RTI equipment\nPrimary knowledge of the variety of fittings, valves, pipe, other rental equipment, and the fabrication of threaded piping assemblies\nAbility to learn and understand more extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment and pipe work\nFamiliar and comfortable working with a computer\nValid Driver’s License.\nWorking Conditions / Physical Demands\nWork is executed in a shop/warehouse environment.\nAt industrial sites and in the shop environment one may be required to carry equipment (up to 40 pounds), climb stairs and ladders, work in inclement weather and be on one’s feet for a 12-hour shift.\nTravel Requirements\nCould possibly spend 15-30 nights away from home in a year.\nAbout Refined Technologies\nRTI is a global industrial solutions provider delivering value to process facilities through expert-level refinery professionals skilled in operations, engineering, and process supervision.
