Delivery Manager

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Delivery & Project Execution :

- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple technology projects and programs.

- Ensure projects are delivered within defined scope, timelines, quality, and budgets.

- Drive project planning, estimation, execution, governance, and release management.

- Implement Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

- Monitor project milestones, dependencies, resources, and delivery KPIs.

Team Leadership :

- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams comprising developers, architects, QA, DevOps, and other technology professionals.

- Build high-performing teams through mentoring, performance management, and collaboration.

- Manage resource allocation, utilization, ramp-up, and ramp-down requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Management :

- Act as the primary interface between clients, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Conduct regular project reviews and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans.

- Manage escalations and resolve conflicts effectively.

Risk & Delivery Governance :

- Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations.

- Establish strong delivery governance and quality standards.

- Ensure compliance with organizational processes and best practices.

Account Mining & Business Growth :

- Identify opportunities for account expansion and revenue growth within existing client engagements.

- Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams on proposals, solutioning, estimations, and new opportunities.

- Contribute to account strategy and strengthen long-term client relationships.

Financial & Resource Management :

- Manage P&L, budgets, profitability, and margins for assigned accounts or delivery portfolios.

- Track project financial performance and drive margin optimization.

- Ensure effective resource planning and utilization.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 12+ years of experience in technology delivery or IT services.

- At least 3+ years of experience leading programs, delivery portfolios, or engineering teams.

- Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise technology projects with distributed teams.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, cloud platforms, and DevOps.

- Exposure to technologies such as Java, Python, .NET, or similar is preferred.

- Strong experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.

- Experience in client-facing delivery and stakeholder management.

- Strong understanding of project estimation, financial management, and resource planning.

- Proven experience in account mining and business growth.

Preferred Certifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

- PMP / Scrum / SAFe certification is an advantage.
