We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers and turn their business workflows into reliable software.\nAbout the role\nYou’ll own customer projects from discovery through deployment: understand how people work, translate their needs into clear requirements, build applications with Reflex and AI development tools, and verify that the finished software solves the problem. You’ll work closely with our founders and engineering team and bring customer feedback back into the product.\nWhat you’ll do\nTalk with customers and end users to understand their workflows, pain points, and goals.\nTurn ambiguous requests into practical technical plans and clear acceptance criteria.\nBuild full-stack Python applications with Reflex, integrating databases, APIs, and existing systems.\nSet up development and deployment environments and help customers connect authentication and data sources.\nUse AI coding tools to accelerate development while reviewing code, testing business logic, and checking the actual user experience.\nOwn testing, deployment, customer feedback, and follow-through until the application works reliably.\nTurn repeatable solutions into reusable components and improvements to the Reflex platform.\nWhat we’re looking for\nA computer science degree or at least one year of hands-on software engineering experience, with projects you can walk us through.\nStrong Python fundamentals and comfort working with SQL, APIs, and Git.\nThe ability to debug across application code, data, and infrastructure.\nClear communication and curiosity about how customers operate.\nOwnership: you can take an unclear problem, ask good questions, and drive it to a working result.\nCare for correctness, usability, and performance-not just getting a prototype running.\nNice to have\nExperience building with Reflex or other full-stack web frameworks.\nCustomer-facing engineering, implementation, or consulting experience.\nFamiliarity with cloud deployments, authentication, data migrations, or enterprise integrations.\nExperience using AI coding assistants to ship and verify real applications.\nLocation and compensation\nFull-time, in-office in San Francisco. Base salary: $110,000-$155,000 annually. Equity: 0.1%.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.
