They support the sales team in determining the optimal application of company products based on customer requirements, prepare and present product demonstrations to prospective customers, provide customer and distributor training, deliver follow-up technical support, manage pre-sales projects with critical customers, and support product testing, evaluation, and training-content creation.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities \nKey deliverables include, but are not limited to:\nProvide technical and application support to customers through demonstrations and technical Q&A in the machinery market using motion-control systems and components. \nDevelop applications and execute customer projects at customer sites.\nInterpret customer needs and support customers in defining technical and commercial requirements.\nProvide technical documentation or product specifications when needed.\nCoordinate activities, including training and customer visits, in partnership with Field Sales. \nCommunicate professionally by telephone, email, letters, and in person. \nAssist in developing standard policies and procedures to support continuous improvement initiatives and metrics. \nProgram, emulate, simulate, debug, and start up application systems according to requirements specifications. \nDeliver internal and external training. \nProvide internal technical support. \nDocument application projects. \nPlan application projects, assignments, and tasks. \nCreate application notes and success stories. \nTravel as required; extensive travel may be required, up to 60% of the time in some cases. \nLearn and apply Regal Rexnord Business System tools to drive overall improvement. \nCritical Competencies \nStrong technical knowledge with the ability to learn and understand product features and functions. \nStrong customer service skills, including the ability to probe deeper to fully understand customer needs.\nAbility to work cross-functionally to meet customer needs. \nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage to a schedule. \nGood knowledge and understanding of OEM and distributor applications, with strong technical know-how in motion-control applications and fieldbus systems, including EtherCAT, Profibus, Profinet, CANopen, Sercos, and Modbus. \nExperience handling and configuring motion controllers and PLCs in a factory-automation environment.\nHigh level of energy; dynamic and self-driven. \nPositive attitude; confident, enthusiastic, and motivational. \nAbility to take initiative and deliver results. \nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster teamwork. \nAbility to cope with pressure and flexibility for frequent travel. \nResourceful and able to operate with limited support when needed.\nStrong oral and written communication skills in English, including group-presentation skills.\nConfidence-inspiring personality and fluency in English. \nEducation and Experience Requirements \nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
