This role supports the accounts receivable team by maintaining accurate records and collaborating with internal departments and external customers to manage deduction disputes.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nReview and analyze customer deductions received though portals, emails or remittance advise.\nValidate deduction claims by comparing them against sales data, contracts, promotions, shipping records, and return documentation.\nClassify deductions by type (eg. pricing, freight, shortages, returns, quality) and assign appropriate credit reason codes.\nMake a determination to process credit or issue a denial based on standard work and internal policies.\nWork closely with internal teams (sales, customer care, logistics) to investigate and resolve disputes.\nCommunicate with customers to request supporting documentation or provide resolution updates.\nReview debit information, make direct calls, and follow through to the customer to obtain missing information\nEnter and maintain deduction data in the ERP or deductions management system.\nRecommend write-offs or credit adjustments when appropriate, with proper documentation. May authorize credit values up to credit value assigned. Credits of greater value must be approved by Supervisor or Manager of department, or appropriate director.\nWrite denial letters to customer for debits/claims that are denied.\nSupport month-end close processes by ensuring deductions are accurately accounted for.\nAssist with reporting on deduction trends and help identify root causes for recurring issues.\nMaintain accurate files and records for audit and compliance purposes.Responsible for other ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by superior/management.\nAdhere to ISO Standards\nJob duties include but are not limited to the above\n\nRequired Education / Experience / Skills:\n4-Year College Degree graduate\nFinance related course or any business management course (with accounting units preferred)\nJob related experience:\n1+ year in accounts receivable, accounting, or related administrative support preferred\nExperience in corporate finance or manufacturing environment is a plus.\nSpecific Knowledge:\nPractical knowledge in ERP Applications ( Oracle, Esker, any applicable Finance ERP)\nProficient in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint)\nInternal Audit Control\nSkills:\n1.
