Hourly rate increases every 90 days based on performance within the training period of up to 18 months (depending on prior experience).\nThe shift hours of this position are 6am - 4pm, Monday - Thursday.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSets-up and operates CNC machine and all other equipment in assigned CellTransfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links\nMount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments\nStop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences. Finished workpieces may be lifted manually or with hoists and cranes\nMeasure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures\nListen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems, as well as monitor control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions\n\nFully responsible for preventive maintenance and proper usage of assigned machinery, tools, and component parts in assigned cell\nFollows Standard Work instructions and makes all programming and mechanical adjustments\nMay move from assigned cell to other cells at discretion of supervisor\nAdheres to all safety and health standards\nParticipates in Kaizan events and seeks to continuously improve work processes\nAbility to perform next job below and above in value stream\nCritical Competencies\nKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance\nBasic measuring, math, reading and writing skills\nKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models\nKnowledge of Standard Process Controls (SPC)\nMechanically driven\nDemonstrated computer literacy\nDemonstrated knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar\nPrevious experience conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance\nAbility to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions\nAbility to follow directions\nAttention to Detail -careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nHS Diploma or GED required\n6 to 9 months on the job training or related vocational training program required\nPhysical Demand and Work Environment:\nWork environment includes regular exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, dust particles, light radiation, paint or oil products, and weather changes.
