The role will report to the PES Motors Solutions Director of Technology\nMajor Responsibilities:\nProvides tactical support to design or improve basic components and products with a basic understanding of design tools and methods.\nOptimizes basic components and products with a basic understanding of analysis methods.\nAssists in solving basic problems with an aptitude for basic problem-solving skills.\nSupport Mechanical Design activities like Modelling, Drawing and bill of materials for the new product development for Global CR Business.\nOwns Sampling, New Model Releases, Engineering Changes and related requisition activities.\nSupport Material Cost out and Simplification Projects.\nMay assist in capturing voice of customers and development of simple product specifications. Translates customer needs to manufacturing requirements.\nDrive continuous improvement in all above activities.\nMay assist in developing basic test plans from existing test protocol for routine products or components.\nExecute engineering change requests & release of new models/components for customers, MCOs, & NPDs.\nSupport sampling, NMRs, BOM work, and documentation for China & Piedras Negras plants.\nPartner with engineers & application team to produce required BOMs & drawings. \nImprove NMR & ECR Leadtime by 50% YOY with no impact to drafting errors.\nProvide responsive, helpful support to internal and external customers. Assist in follow-up communication to ensure positive customer interactions\nundefinedRequired Education / Experience / Skills: Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering 0-2+ years’ experience in motors, machines & electronics. Demonstrated proficiency in operation and use of CAD tools, preferably SolidWorksKnowledge of Mechanical Drawing Industry Standards, Tolerances, Notes, and Material Specifications.Must have very good computer skills sets. Good organization skills and work accuracy.Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products. Good communication skills self-motivated & must work well with others while building relationships.Highly customer centric individual who moves quickly to resolve issues. Desired Education / Experience / Skills: Green Belt Trained or Certified.
