The Production Supervisor is responsible to plan and execute schedules to support customer requirements, lead the implementation and execution of lean work cells to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified work force, and reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. The Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly expectations. The Production Supervisor will be called upon to make sure that the team has the resources, systems, product expertise and processes in place to provide a world class customer experience - and also have the initiative & foresight to drive higher level, long-term improvements toward complete customer loyalty. This position is located in Simi Valley, CA.\nKey Accountabilities\nCoordinate and supervise manufacturing activities\nEnsure proper product delivery including escalation and resolution of high exposure items\nEnsure proper scheduling of resources based on capacity demands\nTrain and develop personnel in skills, process and procedures required to effectively perform job\nDevelop and deploy key performance objectives to employees via Performance Ownership process and Daily Management\nImprove and Maintain SQDC objectives with focus on Customer Satisfaction\nDrive lean (RBS) initiatives throughout the process\nReview methods and tooling for precision machined parts and recommend improvements, implementing improvements with the assistance of the Manufacturing Engineering team\nManage e-time schedules and approvals for Manufacturing\nDrive safety awareness and improvements\nSupervise production team during 2nd shift hours and support implementation/partial supervision of graveyard shift\nParticipate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes as required\nEnsure compliance with standard work, documented procedures, and company policies\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for safety, quality, and delivery issues\nMonitor and analyze production, quality, and safety metrics; initiate corrective actions as required\nDesirable Experience, Capabilities and Success Factors\nBachelor’s degree preferred\nMinimum of three years Lead and/or Supervisor experience including work direction and performance management in machining areas\n2+ years experience in an AS9100 aerospace machining environment\n5+ years working with 3. 4 and 5 axis mills, lathes, and mill turns\nExperience working exotic metals and materials (e.g. Inconel, Berrylium Copper, and Stellite)\nExperience working with tolerances as close as .0001\"\nExperience monitoring Key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.\nExperience using root cause analysis and corrective action processes (e.g. 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)\nAbility to prioritize, organize, problem solve, and meet deadlines and goals\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and knowledge or MRP systems\nExperience participating in/leading Kaizen Events focused on process improvements using lean manufacturing techniques\nAbility to work well under pressure, and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously\nEffective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong leadership style and ability to effectively escalate production and personnel issues to get them resolved in a timely fashion\nAbility to promote and foster a Continuous Improvement culture across a large associate team\nWorking knowledge of 6S and Lean Manufacturing Concepts\nWorking knowledge of OSHA Safety Regulations\nFamiliarity with lathes and milling operations a plus\nRestrictions imposed by federal export control laws may limit this job opportunity to candidates who are a 'U.S. Person', which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted asylum in the United States, and refugees in the United States.\", or who otherwise can qualify for a license that permits them to hold the position.\"\nExpected Base Salary Range: [70,000 - $110,000]\nThe salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position.
