This role manages workflow, enforces procedures, drives process improvements, and oversees team performance. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues and scheduling maintenance to minimize downtime. A background in project management is highly desirable, as the role involves leading cross-functional process improvements and driving timeline-driven initiatives\nProvides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Ensures all safety procedures are followed and metrics achieved. Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides solutions to production problems. Aids in planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance or downtime to minimize disruption to manufacturing schedules.\nSchedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4:00pm\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nLead/Supervise the manufacturing operations for a variety of machine tools, and/or assembly operations including, the activities of the shop floor, coordinating production schedules, and flexing of resource deployment.\nPlan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion. \nSupervise all assigned employee hiring and retention, performance review, and discipline. \nManages department priorities and tracks absenteeism and timekeeping.\nEnsures effective employee relations; provides employee coaching and development; resolves employee issues through problem resolution. \nMaintains an ability to balance, achieve positive results and continuously improve in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and employee relations.\nManages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provides regular progress reports to the manager.\nPerforms accident/incident root cause investigations & solicits actions to prevent recurrence.
