Join our team as a Quality Inspector and play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of excellence. In this hands-on position, you'll work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to inspect precision-manufactured components, identify improvement opportunities, and help maintain the quality our customers expect.\nWhat You'll Do\nPerform first article inspections, receiving inspections, in-process audits, and final inspections as directed.\nVerify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.\nConduct random quality audits throughout the production floor to ensure adherence to established processes and standards.\nSupport manufacturing operations by identifying quality concerns and communicating findings to production, engineering, and quality teams.\nAssist in the development and maintenance of CMM, Vision System, and Contour Trace programs and inspection layouts.\nCreate and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and related quality documentation.\nDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.\nParticipate in corrective action investigations and follow-up activities as required.\nSupport Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and process capability studies.\nCompile, analyze, and enter inspection data into computer systems.\nPrepare charts, graphs, and reports used for quality and process improvement initiatives.\nAssist with internal audits and continuous improvement projects.\nProvide support for special inspection or validation activities as needed.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nAssociate degree, technical certification, or related coursework in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering preferred.\nExperience\nMinimum one year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience inspecting precision-machined components preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.\nExperience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.\nPreferred Qualifications\nASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or similar quality certifications preferred.\nExposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.\nWorking Environment\nFrequent standing and walking throughout the manufacturing facility.\nRegular exposure to standard manufacturing conditions, including heat, noise, machinery, and industrial odors.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.\nMay periodically work in the Metallurgical Laboratory environment, which includes exposure to acids, bases, and other chemicals used in sample preparation.\nAbility to safely operate within a manufacturing environment while following all safety requirements and procedures.\nCollaboration & Teamwork\nYou'll work closely with employees across the organization, including production, supervision, engineering, purchasing, and quality teams to support inspections, corrective actions, process improvements, work instruction development, MSA activities, and capability studies.
