This role supports sourcing and supply chain optimization projects by applying quality engineering expertise to improve supplier performance, reduce risk, and meet business goals.\nThe position evaluates supplier capability, capacity, stability, and risk, while driving continuous improvement through standardized processes, supplier development, and advanced problem-solving tools. The role also provides technical leadership, mentoring, and support to internal teams and suppliers, and reports to the Mexico Manager of Supplier Quality and Development.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct supplier assessments for current and potential suppliers, identify risks, and drive corrective actions and development plans\nMonitor supplier performance metrics and scorecards, and lead improvement plans to meet quality, safety, and delivery expectations\nLead supplier quality activities including capacity assessments, APQP, PPAP, corrective and preventive actions, and process improvement initiatives\nPartner with internal stakeholders and suppliers on technical quality issues, sourcing projects, and supply chain optimization efforts\nMentor plant quality staff, supplier quality engineers, and suppliers on quality systems, best practices, and problem-solving tools\nSupport issue resolution, standardize quality processes, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain\nPerform other duties as assigned\nProfessional experience/qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, industrial, or manufacturing engineering with 10+ years of supplier quality and/or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment; advanced degree preferred.\nExperience in manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, forgings, metallurgy, heat treatment, electronics, plastics, or coatings.\nStrong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, root cause analysis, and statistical problem-solving.\nExperience with supplier audits, quality management systems, ISO 9001, TS16949, AIAG CQI audits, metrology, inspection, and new product development.\nStrong analytical, project management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.\nProficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and lean manufacturing tools; quality or engineering certifications are preferred.\nDomestic travel required, with 50%+ travel expected.\nAbout Regal Rexnord\nRegal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
