This position needs to work as a bridge between Portescap and suppliers.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nHere are your key responsibilities:\nReview and assess supplier processes.\n\nIdentify quality issues.\n\nMaintain documentation and reports.\n\nProvide technical guidance and assistance.\n\nCommunicate with suppliers and senior management.\n\nEnsure that products / processes supplied are managed in accordance with all specified product quality requirements and ensuring that timely and accurate information is made available to all affected parties.\n\nVisit suppliers on a proactive & regular basis to report performance and review systems and perform on-site supplier process audits for all high impact suppliers.\n\nCoordinate for deviation requests and ensure proper approvals and tracking of material under deviation.\n\nManage supplier corrective actions and timely 8D closures, ensuring a thorough root cause analysis is performed, to eliminate possible recurrence of defects.\n\nMaintain supplier records in accordance with documented requirements & track supplier performance in accordance with defined guidelines.\n\nCo-ordinate with suppliers to identify Root causes by 5 Why analysis & Counter measures, also understand Supplier yield progress.\n\nEstablish optimum supplier’s product / process efficiency and quality.\n\nManage supplier corrective actions and ensuring thorough root cause analysis is being performed to eliminate possible reoccurrence (Verification at the supplier sites should be considered for significant concerns)\n\nConduct detailed supplier APQP reviews using cross-functional teams for all outsourced products prior to approving PPAP.\n\nReview supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.\n\nSupport the Quality Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance.\n\nEnsure compliance to RoHS, REACH and Conflict Minerals statutory requirements.\n\nParticipate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.\n\nManage and coordinate supplier Parts Per Million (PPM), supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators.\n\nLead quality audits.\n\nSupport and lead process improvement activities at the supplier.\n\nUndertake special projects as required.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement activities.\n\nFacilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers.\n\nExecute, monitor, review and improve supplier score card on regular basis.\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nDiploma (with Exp. of 10+ Yrs.) / BE (with experience of 7+ Yrs.)\n\nFunctional Competencies\nStrong know-how of Machining, Stampings, Plastics and Electronics parts (knowledge of different commodities e.g., sheet metal, machining, adhesives, molding etc.)\n\nHands-on experience in part validation (PPAP) and Quality tools\n\nStrong expertise in Process Development at Supplier\n\nEnsure compliance to RoHS, REACH and Conflict Minerals statutory requirements.\n\nExposure to Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques\n\nWorking proficiency in usage of MS-Office Tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)\n\nUnderstand Engineering drawings and documents.\n\nWell conversant with implementing standards & Quality Systems like DIN, ISO, TS16949, OSHAS\n\nWorking knowledge of ERP (Oracle / SAP etc.)\n\nKEY RELATIONSHIPS:\nInternal: Incoming Quality & QA, Production, Engineering, Sourcing, Purchase & Stores\nExternal: Suppliers\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\nFluency in Verbal and written communication English & Hindi\nAbout Regal Rexnord\nRegal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
