This role will be responsible for building a high-performing engineering organization that supports the full ATS product lifecycle, including engineered order processing, product standardization, continuous improvement, and new product development.\nThe successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical designers while working closely with engineering and business leadership in Canada to enhance engineering efficiency, quality, responsiveness, and product competitiveness.\nToday, the GCC - Hyderabad ATS engineering team consists of approximately three electrical designers and three mechanical designers, with plans for future growth aligned with business expansion.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nEngineering Leadership & Team Development\nBuild, develop, and mentor a high-performing ATS engineering organization.\nEstablish engineering processes, performance expectations, technical standards, and development plans.\nProvide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and technical guidance to electrical and mechanical designers.\nDrive employee engagement, capability development, and succession planning.\nSupport recruitment and onboarding of new engineering resources as GCC capabilities expand.\nOrder Engineering & Operational Excellence\nOversee engineered order processing activities to ensure customer requirements are translated accurately into production-ready designs.\nEnsure engineering deliverables meet quality, schedule, cost, and manufacturability objectives.\nMonitor engineering workload, resource allocation, and project priorities.\nCollaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, customer care and sales team.\nContinuous Improvement & Standardization\nLead initiatives to improve engineering productivity, quality, and cycle time.\nIdentify opportunities for automation, digitization, and process optimization.\nDrive product and design standardization initiatives across the ATS portfolio.\nDevelop reusable engineering tools, templates, design guides, and best practices.\nProduct Development & Technology Leadership\nSupport new product development programs from concept through commercialization.\nParticipate in product architecture, design reviews, risk assessments, and verification activities.\nHelp define future ATS technology roadmaps and engineering strategies.\nCollaborate with global engineering teams on product enhancements and sustaining engineering activities.\nGlobal Collaboration\nServe as the primary engineering leader for ATS activities within GCC Hyderabad.\nWork closely with the ATS Engineering Manager and Business Leader in Canada.\nCoordinate engineering execution across multiple global stakeholders.\nSupport communication, alignment, and execution across international teams.\nBusiness Support\nSupport strategic business objectives related to growth, cost optimization, quality improvement, and customer satisfaction.\nProvide technical leadership for critical customer projects and escalations.\nSupport capacity planning, budgeting, and engineering performance reporting.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.\nMaster's degree is preferred.\nExperience\n10+ years of engineering experience in power systems, switchgear, ATS, controls, or related electrical equipment.\n3+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.\nDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nExperience supporting manufacturing and engineered-to-order products.\nExperience working with global engineering organizations.\nTechnical Competencies\nLow-voltage power distribution systems\nATS architecture and controls\nElectrical protection and power systems\nMechanical packaging and enclosure design\nProduct standardization and modular design\nDesign-for-manufacturing principles\nEngineering change management\nContinuous improvement methodologies\nLeadership Competencies\nStrong people leadership and coaching skills\nStrategic thinking and execution capability\nExcellent stakeholder management\nEffective global collaboration\nCustomer-focused decision making\nStrong communication and influence skills\nSuccess Measures\nTeam capability and engagement growth\nEngineering productivity and throughput\nReduction in engineering cycle time\nStandardization project execution\nNew product development support effectiveness\nDesign quality and first-pass yield\nCustomer responsiveness\nAchievement of business objectives and operational KPIs\nABOUT REGAL REXNORD\nRegal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
