Calibration Technicians support our manufacturing operations by performing mechanical, electrical, calibration, electronic, and utility-related tasks. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.\nWhen & where:\nLocation: Rensselaer, New York, United States\nWorking shift: Wednesday-Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm\nTraining shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm for approximately 6 months\nDiscover your role:\nCalibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical instruments\nPerform loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up of instrumentation\nWork with medium and low voltages\nPerform basic plumbing and tube bending jobs\nAssist the Facilities Management-Maintenance (FM-M) process and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities and process related issues\nPerform daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM), and efficiently coordinating the workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs\nCommunicate and coordinate with each department and within Facilities Management when planned and unplanned work events occur\nPlan and schedule outside contractors/vendors to perform scheduled and/or non-scheduled PM or general work, as needed\nParticipate in compliance investigations if and when necessary\nThis role requires:\nAAS degree, preferably in an Engineering or Construction Technologies related area and the following minimum years of related experience for each level:Calibration Technician II: 2+ years or HSD/GED and 5+ years\nCalibration Technician III: 5+ years or HSD/GED and 8+ years\nCalibration Technician IV: 8+ years or HSD/GED and 11+ years\n\nDemonstrated basic problem-solving skills\nAbility to learn and follow routine procedures independently as well as part of a team\nThe ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs\nParticipating in a rotating on-call schedule\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to maintain effective time management skills to allow deadlines to be met in a timely manner\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and overall comfort and general familiarity with computer systems\nGowning and Environment:\nFull cleanroom attire (Examples may include: including laundered undergarments, gown, facemask, hairnet, safety glasses, safety shoes and booties, latex gloves and the use of sanitizing agents during gowning process including IPA)\nAbility to remove jewelry, make-up and nail adornments when wearing cleanroom attire\nLevel will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role\nDoes this sound like you?
