This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.\nWhen & where\nLocation: Rensselaer, NY (Tempel Lane)\nWork Shift: Monday-Friday 1st shift\nDiscover your role:\nDesign, implement, and optimize automated assay workflows across modern laboratory platforms, applying expertise in mass spectrometry, chromatography, bioassay, electrophoresis, and ELISA.\nSet priorities, coordinate work, and track progress on analytical and automation initiatives against key milestones.\nDesign and execute studies to evaluate emerging automation technologies and troubleshoot existing systems with some to limited supervision.\nLead complex investigations into automated method performance, supporting verification activities and driving continuous improvement.\nTransfer automated workflows to QC and partner functions by developing training materials, transfer plans, and acceptance criteria.\nEngage cross-functional collaborators and equipment vendors to evaluate new technologies and assess their fit for QC applications.\nPrepare clear scientific reports, automation procedures, and SOPs; communicate findings, risks, and mitigation strategies to management and cross-functional teams.\nBring hands-on experience programming and optimizing automated liquid handling systems (e.g., Hamilton/Venus, Andrew+/OneLab, or Cellario) and scripting in Python, R, or VBA.\nApply strong troubleshooting skills across both analytical methods and automated instrumentation to resolve complex technical challenges.\nMake sound, independent decisions and proactively recommend experiments or solutions based on expertise in analytical science and automation.\nThis role requires:\n2+ years of industry experience in analytical development, laboratory automation, and QC method lifecycle management (or equivalent combination of education and experience).\nDemonstrated hands-on expertise in automated liquid handling platforms and associated software programming.\nExperience in scripting languages (Python, R, or VBA) for data analysis, workflow automation, or system integration.\nKnowledge of QC analytical techniques including mass spectrometry, chromatography, electrophoresis, bioassay, or ELISA.\nProven ability to work independently, design scientifically sound studies from broad objectives, and drive projects to completion.\nLevel will be determined based on qualifications at the time of offer.\nPreferred:\nB.S./B.A. or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.\nPrevious experience working in a cGMP or cGLP regulated environment.\nFamiliarity with Cellario, Venus (Hamilton), or OneLab (Andrew+) automation platforms.\nPhysical Requirements: Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and handling laboratory equipment.\nGowning & Environment: This role operates in a GMP analytical laboratory.
