Manager, Proposals

As a Proposal Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting ERM's North America Marketing & Proposal Team by leading high-impact proposal and presentation efforts that help secure new business opportunities. Working remotely with Partners, sellers, key account directors, and technical experts across the United States and Canada, you will orchestrate complex pursuits, deliver compelling client-facing materials, and help communicate ERM's unique value proposition to leading organizations.

ERM is seeking a Proposal Manager to be part of our North America Marketing & Proposal Team, collaborating with our Partners, sellers, and key client account directors to prepare high-impact proposals that clearly articulate ERM's value proposition. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the commercial team, confidently leading and driving the proposal process from inception through final submission.

Our preference is that you reside within one hour of any of our North America offices; however, our team primarily works remotely. In this role, you will collaborate with diverse groups of technical professionals across the United States and Canada to support strategic growth initiatives and successful client pursuits.

What Your Impact Is:

• Lead the end-to-end proposal development process for strategic opportunities across North America.
• Partner with technical experts, business leaders, and pursuit teams to develop compelling and compliant client deliverables.
• Drive proposal quality, consistency, and brand alignment while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Support the development of interview presentations that strengthen ERM's positioning and increase win probability.
• Maintain and improve proposal content management systems, enabling efficient access to marketing materials and pursuit assets.

What You'll Bring:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field from an accredited college or university or demonstrated equivalent. Or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Proposal Management within a professional services firm serving corporate clients.
• Advanced familiarity with RFI/RFP processes, preparation, management, and procedures.
• Proven ability to lead, create, and complete responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) from start to finish.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals and competing deadlines across time zones with minimal supervision.
• Strong editing, formatting, and templating skills using Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, for proposal and presentation development.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Preferred

• Experience managing and coaching team members, a plus.
• Experience working within Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and/or SharePoint environments.
• Experience with client procurement portals such as PowerAdvocate and Ariba.
• Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
• Experience managing, mentoring, and coaching team members.
• Experience supporting interview presentation planning, development, and facilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration

• Work with consultants across North America to drive the proposal process from receipt of RFP through final submission in accordance with ERM's proposal management process.
• Collaborate with service line, industry, finance, legal, and other internal teams to complete RFP and RFI requests.

Proposal Management

• Develop formal response plans for large and complex proposal opportunities.
• Direct and/or participate in all proposal preparation activities, including scheduling, responsibility matrices, communication plans, content development, content collection, review cycles, document formatting, production, and final delivery.
• Coordinate project descriptions, resumes, graphics, and supporting content to ensure complete and compliant submissions.

Presentations

• Support pursuit teams in developing client interview presentations and PowerPoint materials.
• Facilitate internal strategy sessions and presentation planning meetings.
• Research and develop presentation content including company information, services, and relevant project experience.
• Coordinate graphics development to communicate information visually and effectively.
• Manage schedules, assignments, version control, and electronic presentation files.
• Facilitate presentation rehearsals and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and effectiveness.

Material Management

• Create, maintain, and manage proposal content repositories within SharePoint and other marketing systems.
• Maintain project experience records, staff resumes, boilerplate content, and other pursuit-related information.

Branding

• Ensure compliance with ERM branding standards, visual identity requirements, approval workflows, and corporate guidelines.
