This role serves as the technical lead and design owner for customer-specific solutions, ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective products that meet performance, manufacturability, and customer requirements.\nWorking in a project-driven environment, the Design Engineer collaborates with cross-functional and global teams to translate customer needs into practical, manufacturable designs, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept through production.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the mechanical design and CAD development of custom generator sets, enclosures, and related system components\nManage engineering projects from initial requirements through design release and production support\nDevelop and maintain detailed parametric models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Creo\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to CAD designers and support global engineering resources\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Application Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure alignment and successful project execution\nTranslate customer requirements into engineered solutions that meet technical, cost, and delivery objectives\nEnsure designs meet standards for performance, quality, and manufacturability\nEvaluate materials, components, and design approaches to optimize product performance and cost\nIdentify technical risks and implement effective, data-driven solutions\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes and custom product development\nParticipate in technical discussions with customers and global engineering teams as needed\nWork Environment\n Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite)\nLocation: Sheboygan, WI\nTravel: Limited, as required\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience\nMinimum of 1 years of experience using Creo for 3D CAD modeling and design\nMinimum of 1 years of experience designing industrial or engineered-to-order products\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in generator systems, power systems, or industrial equipment design\nFamiliarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and fabrication processes\nExperience working in a cross-functional, global engineering environment\nCore Competencies\nProject management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nCAD modeling and technical design capabilities\nEffective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional and global teams\nAnalytical problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, implementable solutions\nAbility to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision\nThe Salary range for this position is $76,050.00-$96,050.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.About Us\nRehlko proudly offers a rich history steeped in creativity and commitment to our associates and communities, along with competitive benefits and compensation.
