This is a critical role responsible for raising first-pass yield, reducing scrap, and making sure every nonconformance is contained, dispositioned, and corrected at the root cause.\nIn this Quality Engineering position, you will be the floor-based quality owner for two assembly lines, run nonconformances through the Material Review Board (MRB), lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA), and drive process improvements that deliver measurable gains in yield and cost. You'll partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supplier Quality to keep the lines running and improving.\nThis opportunity is ideal for a quality engineer who thrives in a hands-on, high-mix production environment, enjoys solving problems on the line, and is motivated by seeing their improvements show up in the metrics.\nWork mode: onsite Monday-Friday\nLocation: MOSEL--N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI, 53083\nApplicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nKey Responsibilities\nLine Quality Ownership\nServe as the dedicated quality engineer for the small industrial assembly lines, supporting production daily on the floor\nMonitor first-pass yield (FPY), scrap, and quality-related downtime; identify top defect drivers using Pareto and trend analysis\nMaintain PFMEAs, control plans, work instruction quality requirements, and critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics\nSupport quality readiness for new product introductions, engineering changes, and process changes on the lines\nNonconformance & MRB\nIdentify, document, and route nonconforming product and material to MRB in a timely manner\nParticipate in MRB to drive timely disposition, accurate inventory control, and closure of nonconforming material\nCoordinate rework processes, including routing, verification, and closure\nRoot Cause & Corrective Action\nLead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action (RCCA/8D) for internal and supplier-related quality issues\nVerify effectiveness of corrective actions and prevent recurrence through updates to process controls\nPartner with Supplier Quality on supplier-caused defects, providing data and evidence to support supplier corrective action\nContinuous Improvement\nDrive process improvements that increase FPY and reduce scrap, rework, and quality-related downtime\nApply Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and MSA tools to reduce variation and improve process capability\nLead or support Kaizen events focused on defect prevention and process optimization\nSupport internal and external audits related to manufacturing quality\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field preferred) from an ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology program\n2+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality within an assembly or manufacturing environment\nWorking knowledge of core quality tools: SPC, MSA, PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and corrective action\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\nAbility to work onsite in Sheboygan, WI and support production on the floor\nPreferred:\nExperience in high-mix, low-volume assembly (engines, generators, or electromechanical products)\nExperience running or participating in an MRB process\nWorking knowledge of SAP (QM module preferred)\nProven experience applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred)\nUnion experience\nCQE or equivalent quality certification\nThe Salary range for this position is $76,050.00-$96,050.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.About Us\nRehlko proudly offers a rich history steeped in creativity and commitment to our associates and communities, along with competitive benefits and compensation.
