This role is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings and documentation for low- and medium-voltage switchgear systems. The ideal candidate has strong drafting skills, a solid understanding of electrical design principles, and experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings for switchgear assemblies, wiring diagrams, and layouts\n\nInterpret engineering sketches, specifications, and design requirements into accurate technical drawings\n\nHave a technical understanding of circuit design and electrical component functionality. Select project electrical components based on the project specific design requirements and company design standards.\n\nSelect new parts as required and suggest new parts based on maintaining state-of-the-art awareness of relevant product technologies.\n\nCollaborate with electrical engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance\n\nUpdate drawings based on engineering changes and revision control processes\n\nGenerate bills of materials (BOMs) and assist with documentation packages\n\nEnsure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and company guidelines\n\nSupport manufacturing and production teams by providing clear and accurate design documentation\n\nAssist in troubleshooting design issues and implementing improvements\n\nWork on special projects as dictated by the needs of the department.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field\n\n2+ years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in electrical or switchgear design\n\nProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, CREO, Promise, SEE Electrical, or similar)\n\nFamiliarity with electrical schematics, control wiring, and power distribution systems\n\nUnderstanding of low- and medium-voltage switchgear is strongly preferred\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications\n\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with panel layout and enclosure design\n\nKnowledge of industry standards (UL, ANSI, IEEE, NEC)\n\nFamiliarity with PLM or document control systems\n\nBasic understanding of manufacturing processes\n\nApplicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future. \nWork Mode: Hybrid\nLocation: 200 Twin Oaks Road Kohler WI 53044\nThe Salary range for this position is $83,300.00-$105,200.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.About Us\nRehlko proudly offers a rich history steeped in creativity and commitment to our associates and communities, along with competitive benefits and compensation.
