This position works across multiple areas of the organization-including Production, Engineering, Service, and Operations-making it a highly visible role with excellent exposure and opportunities to learn and grow as REIC continues to expand.If you're a self-starter who enjoys variety and doesn't want to do the exact same thing every day, this could be a great fit.\nWhat You'll DoEquipment Assembly & Technical Support\nSupport our national service shop with the assembly and preparation of rental equipment.\nComplete component builds for newly manufactured equipment.\nAssemble parts and retrofit kits for distribution to REIC service locations.\nRebuild and modify equipment, including equipment wiring, component replacement, and retrofit kit installation.\nAssist the Production Manager in identifying the correct parts needed for equipment rebuilds and modifications.\nSupport the Engineering team with new equipment testing, parts procurement, and other product-related projects.\nDevelop strong working knowledge of REIC's equipment, parts, products, and services.\nParts, Procurement & Inventory\nOrder, inspect, receive, organize, and store parts used to support heating equipment and other business operations.\nSource parts and materials from local suppliers when needed.\nMonitor inventory and help replenish stock before critical parts run out.\nMaintain an organized parts room and stock areas.\nAssist with monthly and periodic physical inventory counts.\nHelp identify opportunities to improve shop, inventory, and parts processes.\nShipping, Receiving & Shop Operations\nPackage, ship, and receive parts and equipment using a variety of delivery methods.\nCoordinate parts and equipment needs with REIC service teams.\nDrive a company vehicle to local suppliers and other locations to pick up or deliver parts and equipment.\nOperate a forklift after completing company-required training and certification.\nMaintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe shop environment.\nFollow established processes while looking for opportunities to make them more efficient without sacrificing quality.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for someone who doesn't need to be told every little thing that needs to be done.The right person will be:\nMechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools, parts, and equipment.\nA self-starter who takes initiative and follows through.\nOrganized and able to keep track of multiple priorities.\nResourceful and comfortable figuring out solutions.\nDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.\nSafety-minded and willing to speak up when something doesn't look right.\nComfortable working independently while also being a strong team player.\nWilling to jump between hands-on technical work, inventory, shipping, computer work, and whatever else the team needs.\nCustomer-focused and responsive when supporting REIC's internal teams and service locations.\nComfortable asking for help or escalating an issue when something falls outside their knowledge or experience.\nWhy This Role Is Different\nThis isn't a position where you'll spend every day doing one repetitive task.Because this team is growing, you'll have the opportunity to help shape how the operation works. This position offers something particularly exciting: the opportunity to join a developing team early, work closely with multiple areas of the business, and help shape how the team operates as it grows.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n1-2 years of related mechanical or technical experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n2+ years of technical experience in a field or customer-service environment preferred.\nGeneral understanding of mechanical tools, equipment, technical terminology, and specifications.\nStrong organizational and problem-solving skills.\nGood judgment and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nDemonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.\nComfortable reading and following technical instructions, diagrams, procedures, and specifications.\nBasic math skills.\nComfortable using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.\nExperience with inventory or order-processing systems is helpful.\nEquipment rental experience is helpful, but it isn't required. We're interested in mechanically minded people who have the right attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn.Additional Requirements\nValid driver's license and ability to meet REIC's driving requirements.\nAbility to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification within two months of hire.\nAbility to travel occasionally when business needs require it.\nAbility to maintain a valid passport for international travel when necessary.\nCommitment to following all company safety procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nThis is a hands-on shop position, not a desk-only role.
