That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a specialist to build the reporting our client sees and to support the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) work behind it. Most of your time will be spent in Snowflake, writing the SQL that powers dashboards, building and maintaining dashboard views, and assembling the recurring reports that go to the client. The rest will be hands-on AEP configuration tasks to support Senior AEP Specialists, with opportunity to contribute to platform design and standards. It’s a role with room to grow: you’ll get real depth in a modern customer data and reporting stack while being supported by a senior team. The work involves sensitive and personally identifiable information, so the privacy standards set for the engagement must be practiced in everything you touch.
This is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days per week on site at Reingold’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
Here’s the work you’ll do:
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain client-facing dashboards in Snowflake, working from the designs, metric definitions, and specifications provided by the team to help the client measure progress against their business goals.
- Write, test, and maintain the SQL behind the reporting layer, including queries, views, and transformations in Snowflake that feed dashboards and recurring reports, and tune them for performance as data volumes grow.
- Maintain the reporting datasets in Snowflake that hold profile, audience, and engagement data from AEP: monitor scheduled refreshes, watch for gaps or late-arriving data, and flag issues to the team.
- Assemble recurring and ad hoc client reports, which includes pulling and organizing the numbers, building the charts and tables, reconciling them against source data, and preparing drafts for senior review.
- Run data quality checks between AEP and Snowflake, investigate discrepancies in counts and metrics, and document what you find for the team.
- Carry out assigned Adobe Experience Platform configuration tasks to written specifications by creating and updating datasets and XDM schema fields, building audience segments, and setting up source connections and destinations with guidance from senior team members.
- Assist with testing and monitoring the data flows between AEP and Snowflake, confirming that audiences activate as expected and that data lands in Snowflake on schedule.
- Practice the privacy standards defined for the engagement in every task by applying data usage labels and governance policies as specified, honoring consent and access rules, and minimizing exposure of PII. This role will be expected to escalate anything that looks out of step with those standards to the team.
- Document queries, views, dashboard logic, and reporting procedures, and keep run books and trackers current for the team and the client.
This role is a good fit for someone with these qualifications, experience and skills:
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, marketing technology, or web development
- SQL skills and hands-on experience querying a cloud data warehouse. Snowflake is preferred, but experience with BigQuery, Redshift, or another cloud warehouse platform is welcome
- Demonstrated experience building dashboards, reports, or data visualizations that non-technical stakeholders rely on, and a good instinct for presenting numbers clearly
- Possess the level of attention to detail required to reconcile and QA data across systems and to catch a number that doesn’t look right before a client does
- Exposure to Adobe Experience Platform or a comparable enterprise customer data platform, and a willingness to execute configuration work to standards and specifications set by others
- A working understanding of PII handling and data privacy basics, including consent and access control, and the discipline to follow established standards
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, and the drive for results that leads you to ask questions and flag issues early
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, math, or a similar field (or equivalent work experience)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on Adobe Experience Platform experience, including XDM schemas, audience segmentation, or destination setup.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience, and any exposure to Snowpark, Snowpark Container Services, or containerized application deployment.
- Working proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React, particularly for data-driven interfaces.
- Experience with charting and visualization libraries such as Recharts, D3, Highcharts, or Plotly.
- Familiarity with Python and/or dbt for transformation and pipeline work.
- Adobe certification in Experience Platform (Business Practitioner or Developer), or coursework and training toward one.
- Exposure to website data collection and tag management (Adobe Launch/Data Collection, Tealium IQ, Google Tag Manager), or to adjacent platforms such as Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Campaign, or Adobe Analytics/CJA.
- Experience in a client-services or agency setting, or with government, public sector, or nonprofit clients handling sensitive data.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will not have direct reports but will be expected to mentor junior teammates and lead by example and influence. This role reports to the Director, Customer Data & Marketing Technology, and receives day-to-day direction from senior members of the engagement team.
Work environment and physical requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Additional Information:
The base salary range of $64,400 to $96,600 represents the low and high of the company’s pay range for this position. The budgeted starting salary is in the lower half of the base salary range. Individual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
