In our collaborative environment, designers are encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, experiment with new approaches, seek feedback, and continuously refine their work and creative approach.\nYou will work alongside experienced designers and internal partners on a wide variety of projects, with opportunities to continue developing your skills, take on increasingly complex creative challenges, and grow within the role.\nIf you enjoy working on diverse projects, continuously developing your skills, and finding new and better ways to solve creative challenges, we would love for you to join our team.\nScope of Work:\nDesign a variety of materials to promote REI Systems including, but not limited to, social graphics and advertisements, digital banners, landing pages, printed collateral, flyers, posters, event banners, presentations, videos, etc. \nConceptualize and design visually compelling marketing campaigns that run across various platforms and mediums. \nTransform complex technical content into modern, intuitive proposal graphics from conception to finalization. \nCollaborate with other designers and stakeholders to understand project goals, audiences, and messages and translate it into compelling visual communications. \nExplore multiple creative approaches and thoughtfully use new tools, technologies, and AI-enabled workflows to strengthen concepts, improve efficiency, and solve design challenges.\nTake ownership of assigned projects, proactively identify next steps, ask questions when needed, communicate needs or roadblocks, and follow projects through from concept to completion.\nManage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting established deadlines. \nClearly communicate creative ideas and present work to internal and external stakeholders.\nActively participate in the creative process by sharing ideas, seeking and providing feedback, and iterating on concepts to strengthen the final product.\nDemonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and solid time management in a deadline-oriented environment. \nUnderstand the REI corporate brand and advocate for maintaining brand and identity across projects, products, and websites, while exploring new creative approaches within established brand standards.\nContinue developing skills in design, visual storytelling, technology, and creative problem-solving through hands-on work, feedback, and collaboration with the Creative Services team.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nSoftware Proficiency:\nAdobe Creative Suite-specifically: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign \nA portfolio demonstrating strong foundational skills in marketing, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, composition, and digital or print design. Candidates are not expected to have experience in all of these areas:\nExperience with Federal government or technology-related work\nExperience with WordPress, Divi, or HubSpot\nExperience with Adobe Premiere or After Effects\nVideography or photography experience\nExperience working on a proposal team and developing proposal graphics\nExperience creating technical solution graphics for client presentations and proposals\nExperience:\nApproximately 1-3 years of relevant design experience. Internships, freelance work, and other relevant professional experience may be considered as part of that experience.\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related creative field preferred.
