Unreal Engine, or Unity.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDevelop high-fidelity marine simulation environments using NVIDIA Isaac Sim (preferred), Unreal Engine, Unity, or custom simulation frameworks.\nModel realistic ocean conditions, including currents, waves, buoyancy, hydrodynamics, turbidity, thermoclines, and underwater acoustics.\nBuild accurate vehicle dynamics models, including 6-DOF motion, thruster interactions, drag, lift, added mass, and buoyancy.\nDevelop realistic sensor simulations for sonar (forward-looking, side-scan, multibeam), DVL, IMU, cameras, LiDAR, and acoustic modems.\nCreate digital twin infrastructure for autonomous underwater vehicles.\nIntegrate simulation environments with ROS2-based autonomy stacks for SIL and HIL testing.\nDesign scalable simulation pipelines supporting Monte Carlo simulations and automated regression testing.\nValidate simulation results against real-world testing data.\nOptimise simulation performance using GPU acceleration and parallel computing.\nCollaborate with autonomy, perception, controls, and embedded engineering teams.\n\nRequirements: \nBachelor's/Master's/PhD in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, game development, or a related discipline.\n5-8 years of experience in robotics simulation, digital twin development, or physics-based simulation.\nStrong programming skills in C++.\nHands-on experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim (preferred), Unreal Engine, Unity, and custom simulation engines.\nExperience with ROS/ROS2 integration.\nStrong understanding of rigid body dynamics, hydrodynamics, fluid dynamics, and sensor modelling.\nExperience with Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.\nStrong mathematical knowledge of linear algebra, physics, and numerical
